I have finally managed to type up some of the list I collected at Disney regarding the locations of the pressed pennies machines and what designs are available at each machine.

Hi Greg - this is fantastic information - thankyou so much for going to the trouble to post it - I am going to copy them all into our FAQ thread at the top of the Board so we have them there for reference :)

Thanks again!

Pressed pennies are exactly that, pennies which have been pressed. There are machines at various points in and around the parks where you insert a 1 cent (penny) coin, crank a handle and your penny is then 'pressed'. It comes out as a long oval-shaped coin with different designs on. This is something that you choose before pressing and usually there are three designs to choose from. It is just another form of collecting memorabilia and special wallets are available to buy for those who want to get into it seriously. You will also have to insert 2 quarters in order to press a penny so all in all a pressed penny will cost you 51 cents, making it one of the cheaper options for collecting Disney mementos.

Have fun!

Thanks Greg - I am going to print out that list for our upcoming trip - can't wait to see the other parks list too!

naughty but when we were kids we used to put pennies on the railway line and once they had been run over they were oval shaped and flat. pressed pennies that only cost you a penny, and the occasional leg......... :(
