I know that I saw a checklist somewhere that shows all the pressed penny machines in the parks and hotels. Can someone provide a link to it?

My son filled up one of the pressed penny books on our last couple of trips and he'd like to check off what he already has so that he can continue collecting on this trip!

TIA

Sorry, I cannot post links.

Go to www dot presscoins dot com

It has a complete checklist you can use. HTH!!

yeah this site is the best!! http://www.presscoins.com

the first listing they have it 8 pages, if you get if so you have 2 pages on each page front and back whe you print it out, your only using two pages! and you can still read it

Thanks for the reply. I'm gonna have a lot of change to keep up with. I like to get pressed pennies everywhere I go. (Zoos, museums, etc.)

I never knew there would be so many machines. This is my first trip to WDW and I am completely blown away! My sons are going to love these.

A few months ago, I think I remembered reading on the boards that it was best to have pennies made before a certain year. Does anyone remember this information too? If so, what year was it? 1988? I think it was because the pennies were made of different metal before this year????

Thanks.

Does anybody know if they sell anything at wdw like those books that coin collectors put their coins in so you have a way of keeping your pressed pennies ?

There is a book to hold pressed pennies and quarters. I've seen it on the LaughingPlace website.

I'm making up a surprise bag for DS and I just got one of the Pressed Penny books off of Ebay. I paid about $10.50 for it, but when it came in, the price tag on the back said $6.75. Just an FYI...you can get them ahead of time if you want but most likely you'll be paying a few dollars more.

Yes there is there is actually two different designs.

Mickey holds 64 pennies only

Tinkerbell holds 48 pennies and 6 quaters.

Cost $6.50, + tax, usually can be found at till or around penny machine.

They sell these in the parks, we bought one last September in MK. It is a quad-fold book, with see through pockets, it holds over 60 pennies, and cost $6.50!

To clarify....use pennies from BEFORE 1982? Does it matter if they are 'shiny'?

Thanks!! My DS3.5 will LOVE seeing the pennies get pressed!

You may want to take both the old ones and the new ones.

Wash your old ones, so they are clean and as shiny as possible, and try for new, new ones (shiny)!

I would suggest pressing a couple of each. We did this, we ended up trying about four of the older pennies total before we decided we liked how the new ones looked the best!

We did not have distortion or streaks, our new pennies looked awesome! We also thought the design was clearer. :goodvibes

If you try a couple of both, you can choose which type is your/her favorite!

Have fun!
