Pressed coins question

I was curious about how many penny presses are in all the parks, so I will know how many pennies and quarters to bring for ds and dd. Does anyone know?

Oh mercy! I really have no idea, but I'd guess 100 or so? Every resort has several, same with some rides .......

GOODNIGHT! I guess I will only take enough for a few pressed pennies. lol I will be spending all my souvenir money on the pressed pennies if I did every machine. lol

I can ask dh later, his mission was to get them all. He filled 1 whole pressed penny book, plus some of the one from RFC and another 1/2 a book? He even went resort hopping to get some! Who am I to rain on his fun?

I happen to be sitting here pouring over that very list, as we leave in 12 DAYS!! WOOOHOOO!!

Sorry...back to the topic.

There are a total of 176 machines with 479 different designs (most machines have 3 or 4 to choose from).

We had the girls go through the list, so we'd know how many pennies and quarters to carry to each park and still...wow. They're going to have to narrow it down some more. I'm not lugging $40 in change!

I can see we're going to have to send my parents on a small mission when they go again next month. We got a lot, but not 479!

Try to find 1982 and prior pennies. Pennies minted after 1982 have silver colored base metal covered in copper. Sometimes the base metal can show through after being pressed.
