President's Week? Or the week after?

How are the crowds during President's Week?
I would imagine they would be huge remembering back to when I was in school and we always had that week off. But these days, I know lots of schools give a different spring break. There seems to be plenty of rooms available.

Normally, I would never dream of going during this time. I like SUPER EMPTY parks (September, December or January) but my dad has a convention during that time frame and asked if we'd like to join them. My parents are not huge Disney fans, but I am so I would love to go with them, but I am somewhat worried about crowds. Also, is the week AFTER President's as bad? The way it is set up, we might be able to do a few days that week instead.

I guess I should have been more specific. We won't actually be there for President's Day. We'd be going down later that week for the next weekend and possibly Monday-Wed. the following week.

We will be there from February 21st to the 25th because that is Mardi Gras holidays here in Louisiana. Schools are out and I know alot of other people from this area go during that time. I am hoping the crowds are not too bad. Cross your fingers and hope for the best!

I will be there Feb. 22-29 because that is our "winter break" but most public schools in Michigan have the actual week of Pres. Day off, we follow the University break schedule so we go a week later. I too am a little nervous with Mardi Gras crowds but one CM I spoke to at Disney Dining said the MG crowd is just a blip attendence wise compared to the actual Pres. week crowd. I had no trouble getting all the PS's I requested.

thank you both. i am feeling a little better about it. glad to know you had no problem getting ps's as i still need to do all that! hope we all have a great time with great weather and ok crowds!

The actual crowd for Presidents weekend starts building around Thursday before, and I believe that most people are people form Daytona Race track, since that is also race week. Last year though I noticed the crowd picking up, but it never was so crowded that they had to close the park, as they do in the summer from time to time based on the volume of people certain days. I'm sure the week you are going will be great!(no crowds)
