I know it's a long time away but planning a trip presidents week 2012, do they offer any deals at that time? Is anyone going this presidents week and getting any deals or discounts. When I looked on Disney's site it seemed to not include this week in any of the deals. Also those who are going this week in 2011 when did you book airfare and did you get any good deals. If I where to book southwest now if I where going in 2011 it would cost 200 each way .Please tell me how to get better deals for a peak vacation time . THANK YOU:flower3:

I have been there several times at this time of year and have had not to much luck with deals.

Our kids are going to miss a few days of school in order to save us a huge chunk of change. We're heading down on the 16th. This saves us quite a bit on flights plus makes us able to take advantage of the current Disney offers.

Disney doesnt discount presidents weekend b/c they dont need to. So you will actually see room rates go up that weekend. But if your vacation starts during a discount period leading up to that weekend you will get the discount during the entire stay. If you cant leave that early then the next best thing is to use aaa for a discount on your room. They only offer a few rooms at each resort with the aaa discount so you have to book it as soon as you know your going. Aaa discounts for 2012 will not come out until august of 2011. Southwest fares are at there cheapest when the booking window first opens and then again around two months away from departure. The good thing is that if the fare goes down on southwest you can rebook at the lower rate and then they will give you a credit to be used on future flights for the difference.

Not only does Disney not discount during Presidents Week, airfare and car rental rates are some of the highest during this week. We used to travel every February and the best flight prices we could find are at exactly 300 or 330 (the earliest you can book) days out. Car rental needs to be arranged early too if you plan to use any coupons or discount codes. The agencies allow X amount of discounts/coupons and that is it. Biker week is at Daytona around that time and car rentals discounts will go fast.

If you want to get good deals, shop early.

Edited: Since you are coming from the NE, you really want to shop early. That seems to be the week everyone wants to get away from winter!

Thanks for all the info.I was thinking of taking the kids out of school 2 days early because we may be able to get a better deal on airfare going ,as someone stated. Is it true that if you start your vacation during a Disney run deal that it would apply to our whole trip?We are planning an 8 night trip so if the deal or promotion ends after our third night there will we still get it for the remaining 5 nights? Sorry I'm so confused:confused3!!!I have heard in the past about the buy 4 nights get 3 free does this ever happen during presidents week?THANKS EVERYONE:flower3:

This will be our first time going during President's Week and the only reason why we are is because one night I was just looking at flights and found $189/rt/pp non-stop leaving on President's Day and returning late Thursday night. These are on Delta leaving from Bradley. :cool1:

I then booked 2 rooms at POFQ (no discount) but hoping maybe for an AP discount (not counting on it).

Usually, from what I've seen here, there never are discounts during that week.

This is true for package deals. As long as the first night of your package falls during the promotion dates then you will get the deal for the entire trip. We stayed over Christmas last year with free dining because we arrived on the last day of the free dining promotion.

Note I said package deal meaning where there is a ticket purchase requirement. Room only deals are calculated on a day by day basis so if you arrive on the last day of a room only deal then you'll only get that one day discounted.
