How bad is it? I am stuck to school holidays now and would like to go in February. Can anyone compare the Disney and universal parks busyness wise compared to Christmas, August and memorial day as I think these are the busiest times we've been, thanks!

Can't answer in full but basically we arrived the day after presidents day in 2011 and it was very empty. I know it does get very busy on the day itself but most people must have departed the day after!:)

We did Presidents week in February and it was busy all week. Not as busy as Christmas as there were no park closings but busier than Memorial Day. Can't compare to August as it is years since we have been then.

Having said that we still did everything we wanted without waiting in a line of more than 20 mins. We hit rope drop everyday and used FP.

in America they mostly use Presidents Day like we use our Bank Holidays-a long weekend. It will start getting busy thurs/fri and quieten down again mon/tue. We've done it twice now with two small children and never found it a problem. The only thing was we made sure we missed MK and HS on the sat and sun as they are the busiest, and did a water park instead as the weather was really nice. Thats another good thing about feb as you are not faced with unbearable heat:thumbsup2

We usually avoid the parks on Presidents Day and hit the sales. We found that prices rise again the following week so we try to buy Presidents week. Haven't been since 2009 so don't know if it's the same now.

Thanks everyone that makes me feel better! Looking forward to an extra little weeks trip!
