Which park are you visiting? The Studios will be slammed all weekend because of two headline concerts for Mardi Gras (Kelly Clarkson & Boyz II Men) but you can expect very long lines at both parks the whole weekend. The VIP tickets wouldn't be a bad idea if you want to spend the money.

I went PDW 2011 and I didn't think it was all that bad, even without Express privileges. All a matter of perception.
