President's Day or MLK Day for weekend trip?

Background: My DH and I are new to DVC. We currently plan to go to WDW on an 18 month schedule (1 week in July in year 1, 2 weekend trips in year 2 - then repeat). Our first weekend trip would be in 2019. I have booked it for MLK weekend using 11 month window with an eye to moving it at 7 months because I read that President's Day is MOBBED. We have kids that we don't want to pull from school; so, those two weekends are our choices. I realized later that the marathon weekend for 2019 is MLK weekend. Now I am wondering just how crazy this long weekend trip next January or February might be...

Questions: As a DVC owner, would you go on MLK weekend or President's Day weekend for a quick weekend getaway if both are race weekends?
If you have gone on a quick weekend getaway (leave Saturday, come home Monday, do one day at a park), did you like it? Are we crazy for thinking it would be fun to pop in to WDW?

Thanks for any wisdom you can impart! I am posting it here because DVC owners usually have an eye on long term rather than "once in a lifetime" trip perspective that other boards do.

Two things to be aware of

Marathon weekend is January 9 -13. MLK Day is a week later, on January 21

It can (and does get cold) in Florida during January and February. If you are expecting pool weather, you may be disappointed

As DVC members, we have done lots of short trips. My guess is that with the race being the same as MLK that you should just pick what works best for you. The weather may be slightly warmer in February. The crowd calendar i looked at online ranks both MLK and Prez Day the same. Just book your FPs....get to the parks early...take mid day breaks when it gets crowded....relax and enjoy. You know you dont have to do an see it all. You have been and you will be back...the joy of being DVC members :)

It's not the same weekend as MLK.

It's not the same weekend as MLK.
I had gotten word from anothe online group that they changed the marathon. After posting here and seeing the comments, I checked the run disney site and you are correct. Whew! That is a relief. Should have posted here to begin with rather than getting info from other places... :/

We figured it would not be a pool trip. ;)

Actually, the marathon isn't changed. It has a regular schedule and in 2019 it falls on the second weekend instead of the first. MLK holiday is always the third Monday in Jan.
