Anyone here ever stay in a Presidential Sweet like Newport at Beach Club or King Kamehameha at Poly?

I'm wondering what the perks are aside from a sweet room- it looks like you don't get club level access with them. What DO you get, if anything?

You get the big fancy room, usually with a very unique theming, sometimes unique authentic memorabilia in the room, club level access and a VERY big bill. All the deluxes have these rooms but they aren't ever called "presidential" if you are searching for them.

they are actually! The one in Beach Club is called the Newport Presidential Suite!

but sincerely, thank you for the info.

Yes, you got club level access in the past. I think it's quite likely an error in the listing currently.

The Newport Presidential Suite at the Beach Club is on the club level floor. You have to walk through/past the CL desk area to get to the room. If the lounge is open it would be nearly impossible for it not to include club amenities. The suite is amazing.

I’ve stayed in a few of them over time.

They are sometimes referred to as ‘presidential suites’ in Disney’s booking system even if they have a ‘name’, like the King K Suite, Commodore’s Suite, etc.

Disney suites are normally designated CL, but at the moment they are all non-CL since none of the CLs are open. Disney moved them out of the CL category later last summer so they could be bookable in the current no-CL environment (although no change in price).

As for perks, it would just be CL in normal times and the extra space. The Poly suites have their own private mini-CL lounge, dedicated CM, and a room service menu you can order from free of charge, although none of that is available currently. This is a unique attribute of the Poly suites that you don’t see at other places. Otherwise - it’s just a room. Granted a very nice/big room, but not much else to it.

Hope that helps.

King Kamehameha at Poly?

No not at the moment.

When Club Level Services return: The King Kamehameha suite is in the Tonga Suite Building at the Poly and has it's own light service CL, free private dining from the Private dining menu and access to the main King Kamehameha CL in the Hawaii building.

The Presidential Suite at the Contemporary Tower CL on the 14th floor with 2 balconies overlooking the MK.

The Presidential Suite at the WL is on the 7th floor very near the Old Faithful Club CL service. It overlooks the WL upper courtyard.

The Steeplechase Presidential Suite at the BWI is on the 4th floor overlooking the BoardWalk and Crescent lake and has a massive balcony. It is 3 rooms away from the CL Inn Keepers Club.

The Presidential Suite at the YC is located on the 5th floor overlooking SAB and Crescent lake just down the hall from the CL lounge.

The Presidential Suite at the Grand Destino Tower at CSR is located on the 15th floor directly across from the Chronos Club lounge.

Summary: The King Kamehameha suite is in the Tonga is the most exclusive & included the option for free in-room dining (when it returns) but the Steeplechase Presidential Suite at the BWI has best location, views and space.

Note: Again these rooms are just really nice suites without Club Level services until they begin to return this fall.

Thanks GA and Dave- that is great stuff!

So...I MAY have booked the Newport at Beach Club. Maybe. Yikes. What have I done?

Nice - enjoy! I haven’t stayed in that one, but my DW was upgraded to the Commodore’s Suite at YC on a girl’s trip last year (as the COVID shutdown was starting to materialize) and they enjoyed all the space quite a bit. Not that I was jealous or anything. The Newport room looks lovely and has such a great location.

My one bit of advice with Disney suites - you quickly realize it often matters very little how much you paid for a room at Disney. At the end of the day, the experience is often just like any other room. Maybe an occasional little extra or something (I’m talking something like some bottles of water left in the fridge or small tokens like that), but you could easily go about a stay with nothing but the room - so just manage expectations a bit if needed.
