Has anyone been to the Reagan or Nixon presidential libraries? We have been to the jfk library around where we live a number of times. If we make it out to Disneyland I'd be interested in checking them out. Are they worth a visit? How long do they take to tour? Thanks.

We have been to both and we're glad we went. Nixon is closer to DL. Without traffic it can't be much more than 30 minutes away. The Regan library has to be at least a 90 minute drive. We spent a couple of hours in each.

I've been to the Reagan museum several times. It is a bit of a drive, but I enjoyed it. You should check the website because they often have special exhibits or speakers.

We've been to the Reagan Library and enjoyed it about 5-6 yrs ago. We plan to check it out again this summer. They have an Air Force one plane you can walk through and some fighter jets and the motorcade I believe. Plus, some nice gardens to walk around and nice history throughout.

I haven't been to the Reagan since the year it opened but I live 4 miles from it. I've heard great things. Taking the 118 to get back to Anaheim is a better route usually anyhow.

Was there a year or so ago when there was a Disney expo. Stayed all day and didn't even finish the museum. This was my first time and surprised how nice it was.

I've been to both, and both are worth going to. I've only been to the Nixon once, but the Reagan several times because I'm closer to the Reagan. The Air Force One exhibit is not to be missed. Depending on your speed at a museum, you could spend all day at both. Or you can do it in less time. Coming from Disneyland, the times others have given are pretty good.

I've been to the Reagan Library, and would highly recommend it. I haven't been to the Nixon one yet.

Reagan is much more similar to the JFK library but I actually really enjoyed Nixon more because it is where he was born and feels very personal

Been to both and actually, have been to the Reagan several times. As one poster said above, it features different exhibits at various times, which is an added bonus, if you can pull yourself away from all the neat stuff that is permanently there! And the grounds of the Reagan are just beautiful! The drive from LA is a pretty one, in my opinion.

I went to the Reagan Library when they had the Disney exhibit. I'm a bit partial though, I live in Ventura County. It's beautiful up here, beaches, agriculture. If you get a chance, I'd recommend making the journey.

Love that area too! We've been up there 4 times when we have visited Calif. in the past several years~
