BYC See ya on the street corner with the other misguided!!

To the OP sorry you opened the can aren't ya,lol! I would "guess' transportation will be effected BIG TIME. I'm I the onlt one who has thought how vulnerable the CR is with the monorail who ANYONE can get on is running thru it.

Amen! Madhatter and clarK

Does anyone have any idea what times he will be out and about??? I'd hate to get stuck ANYWHERE and miss my ADRs or my DS's nap time! Too bad I most likely won't be able to plan around it.

I sometimes wonder how attractive WDW is to terrorists and about it's potential as a target. With Bush visiting... I wonder if those chances are much greater. Yikes... I don't want to me nervous. Sorry, call me a chicken if you want.

Thanks!

I wanted to stay out of this thread, but when I see you have the nerve to call someone who wants to protect the unborn "misguided", I have to respond. Misguided is what the people are who think abortion is a choice. Mustard or mayo is a choice. Abortion is the ending of a human life without the benefit of anesthesia. It is a painful process for all involved. I think it is rude for you to call someone who does not support the dismemberment of babies "misguided", when truthfully, it is those who simplify the process by calling it a sweet name like "choice" that are misguided. Now...I hope this thread gets locked, so we don't have to have this debate on the DIS board. But, if you would like to continue the debate privately, I would be up for that!I have never debated abortion with anyone who ends up still feeling "Pro Choice" after our talk!

So is being dismembered during a "shock and awe" campaign or being blown up by missiles. Oh I forgot, Iraq children are less human then the unborn. If you want to protect human life don't be a hypocrit, protect the born also![/COLOR]

Maybe WL will have a bus running to the TTC. Then you could just hop on the ferry to MK. Actually its something all the resorts should do. Though it will be a pain it would be better than being stuck on the bus for 40 mins.

Good Luck

Blue Eeyore - I can't tell you anything about times. I have read the many very bold statements on this thread.

I just wanted to tell you to have a great time in the GREATEST place on EARTH. May you enjoy yourself totally......... :)

Guess we will be skipping pin trading on Friday night. Now I know why my friend told me parking was going to be a mess through President's day at the Contemporary.

WOW! When I posted this I was hoping people would be considerate and keep their political views out of this thread. My question had nothing to do with how people feel about President Bush.

I think I would have a really hard time getting an ADR for someplace else since it is a busy weekend. So I'm not sure what we are going to do. Probably make sure we leave plenty of time to get there I guess. Has anyone heard if his visit is during the day or at night? :confused3

Totally agree, some people have to make everything about them. You asked about traffic, you did not ask or need anyone's political comments. It was rude, and I am surprised they have not been deleted by the Moderators as totally off topic.

I will see if I can find out anything else on the traffic situation for you. What time is your ADR?

Will this be going on the whole weekend? We have ressies at the Concourse for Sunday night.

I have a message into my friend who works there. Am waiting for a response. Have not heard anything back. We have dining resies for 9pm at Chef Mickey's, but will probably not go. One of his last flights in here, he flew into McDill and was escorted on I-4. They intermittently shut down I-4 for his motorcade. I have not heard anything either way. The OP was the 1st I heard anything specific. My friend just said to avoid parking at the Contemporary on the weekend. Security told my dh your name needs to be on a list to park there. Not sure if dining gets you on their list or not. A few weeks ago, a democratic convention was held at the Contemporary and both some resort guests and convention guests had to park at the TTC. Even Contemporary CM had to park elsewhere. It was a big hassle because it was a weekend of MVMCP and traffic was a disaster to begin with.

:cool1: C'mon guys! It's the Happiest  Place on Earth. Lighten up and enjoy life. :wave2:

I'm trying to calm the falmes by taking an abstract approach to this.

I will not say whether I support Bush or not, that's not an issue I don't believe to what I'm about to say. Whether you like him or not, he's appointed to the seat of president right now, the highest position in the country, perhaps even the most powerful man in the world. He runs YOUR country, whether you think he does it successfully or not. Yes, there's checks and balances, but in essence, this is whom was chosen to run the United States of America. A place where people are free to have an opinion and can feel that Republicans are great or that aborition should be legal.

THAT'S THE BEAUTY OF AMERICA. YOU HAVE THE CHOICE TO CHOOSE. :thumbsup2

Do you realize how opressed some citizens are in other countries? You should be happy to be allowed such freedoms, even if you do think they're "invaded" at times...We ALL could be a LOT worse off. Just ask anyone who used to live in Sarajevo during difficult times in the 90's or some of the citizens of 3rd world countries. There are politicians you will like and those whom you don't, but that's what's the beauty of a DEMOCRACY...The power of choice. While you can argue "we don't choose," or the election was rigged, this is how our government system has worked for how many years now?

On another note, I think it'd be a great opporitunity to see a president, whether he was a Republican or a Democrat! What a unique experience to share with your family, a lot different then seeing a celebrity! I'd say go and enjoy yourselves and if you see Bush (you're happy or you cringe) just think of what a cool experience for your family/kids reguardless. :thumbsup2
