Preserve your bouquet?

Hi, I had mine preserved through Keepsake floral. The total cost was about $850. I couldn't be happier with how they came out. I think it is worth the money.

Here is my bouquet on my wedding day:

Wow! That came out beautifully! I have also been thinking about getting this, but aren't sure if it's worth it or not. Did you mail your bouquet away right after the wedding while in Disney?

Also, if you don't mind me asking, which options did you choose -- did you upgrade anything or just choose a basic package? Thanks!!!

Thanks! I had a MK photoshoot the morning after the wedding, and after that Disney took it and keepsake floral came and picked it up. You could either mail it out the morning after the wedding (they send you a kit) or they are located in Orlando, so you could drop it off.

Yes, I do have some upgrades. The frame is upgraded, and the background silk behind the flowers is also upgraded. So they do have cheaper options. I really feel like it was worth. I put it in my living room so I would see it all the time.

For brides that have done this, Do you pay a deposit and then pay full payment afterwards or is it paid in full up front?

How does the rest of the payment work after the deposit? Is it paid before or after the wedding? I'm sorry I'm still confused. Thank you for letting me know about the deposit price and the website, I checked there but didn't find the answer. They do offer a payment plan though which is nice, but it's for a fee

I also preserved my bouquet and thought it was definitely well worth the cost. In addition, to my frame with our program, invitation, and DH's boutonneire I also had an ornament made from the extra flowers. These pictures are with the glass off because the program was flipping open when I got it, so they gave me directions on how to open the glass and to fix it. The frame is 18x20 and I think by the time everything was all said and done between the pick-up fees, having the custom size frame, and adding the ornament I spent around $850, but this was in early 2008. I have the same silver frame as Kendra, you just can't see it in these shots.

The ornament is in a plastic container and it came with the gold hanging stand. It was at night when I took these shots, so the colors aren't the greatest. There's some of the ribbon inside plus I had them include some of the stephanotis with the Mickey crystals.

What happens is a few weeks after the wedding they call you and set up a time for a phone meeting. I got married August 2nd, and my session was in mid September. They call you the day of your appointment, and just think of it like a planning session. They ask you different questions about your keepsake. After you make all your decisions payment is due. So you don't owe the final payment until after the wedding.

WOW! Thanks ladies, I've been interested in doing this but really didn't expect to have all the funds for it before the wedding, since I'm really adding this on now. I might be able to swing it if it's it not due it total till after...

I'll call them tomorrow and see what they say...

Vanessa - I loved your shadowbox!

Yes! For Disney brides you pay $265 ($190 for the deposit which goes towards your keepsake, and a $75 pick up fee)

For anyone who wants to save a couple bucks you can ship your flowers from the resort in the kit that Keepsake sends you and you don't have to pay the $75 pick up fee. I think I only spent like 20 to fedex it. We were staying at the grand and it took me like 5 minutes.

I wanted to preserve mine but it seems my flowers have been lost. I don't know if Disney or Keepsake lost them but I haven't heard from them since Keepsake told me they couldn't find them. Disney did have them. I think Keepsake may have misplaced them but I don't know.

Ugh that sucks!!!!:snooty:

I wish I had mine preserved.

That's awful. Have you asked anyone to look into it? Someone should be responsible for replacing them.

Well they said they would replace it if they couldn't find it but I really don't want them to do that. I want the bouquet I actually carried on my wedding day you know? Its no big deal. I am not really upset about it. Annoyed but not upset. :lmao: It happens.

That is still pretty crazy that they lost it! I think I would be the same way! If they just made a new one it wouldn't have any sentimental value to it. Hope they find it or make it right!

Ours was almost $900.00. I don't have it back and I have been married for 4 and 1/2 months. I'll post when I get it but I can't imagine what is taking so long.

Keepsake lost DH's boutonniere. Like you, I'm more annoyed than anything else!! They said they could "re-create" it out of some of the flowers from my bouquet, but the point of me having all my flowers preserved is for sentimental reasons, so it still won't be the same.

Also, I've had the worst time trying to get a hold of the consultant I'm working with. She even forgot to call me for my appt (I had to call her!) Despite 5 phone calls over the last 4 days and 3 emails, I've received no response. Did anyone else have this experience? What did you do?

It makes me nervous about how the final product will come out. I didn't experience this kind of service with any of my vendors!!! :sad2:

My consultant called me about 20 minutes later than she was supposed to, but that was all I really had to deal with. The end result is so worth it. I couldn't be happier with my flowers.
