Just making sure we do not miss anything, lol, so love to hear any reports on which activities your preschooler loved and even still remembers!. Looking forward to our first ever cruise with ds3.5 in a month.....yeee ha!!!

Thanks for starting this thread - my DS will turn 4 during our cruise next April and I'd enjoy hearing what's popular with the preschoolers.

Like to also hear your success stories when you return :bounce:

I had a DD3 when we cruised last spring. Her favorite activities were seeing Minnie Mouse and Cinderella, eating Mickey bars in the restaurants and watching the Disney movies in the stateroom. She also enjoyed movies in the theater. We didn't spend time in the pools onboard the ship because they are too crowded, but I know a lot of people enjoy them. (The thought of what was probably in them was not appealing to me.)

She spent time in the Oceaneer Club and loved seeing Snow White and Goofy. She loved the character breakfast.

Honestly, I'd have to say the highlight for my young one was the characters and just being with us.

Have fun!

My DD was 3.5 when we went on the cruise and this is what she still talks about:

Hanging out with Mommie & Daddy
Meeting the characters (esp the Princesses)
The Mickey Pool
Laying out on deck 4
Snow White's Do-Si-Do
Tea with Wendy
Welcome to Wonderland (I'm not sure if that's the name)

I would say the Mickey Pool and meeting all the characters were by far her favorite activities.

Have a great time!

she turned 3 the week after our 3/9/02 Magic cruise. She said playing with her friend Megan(who she met on board) and Mr. Clive(our server). Clive was very good with all three of my kids. He was especially attentive to the 3yr old. She also like the Mickey pool although we didn't spend much time there.

My children will be 4 & 5 when we sail in May 2003. Can someone share their experiences with how your little ones adjusted to a new schedule while on board? I'm concerned as to how long to let them in the oceaneer's club in the evenings. I don't know how much they will go throughout the day but my dh wants to do some activities as a couple, but I don't want to plan too much. I guess I'm most concerned with how late they will be up and how early they will want to get up the next morning.

I have to second exactly what liza wrote. With the addition of our server Sasha, who made it more enjoyable for everyone, and playing in the sand on the beautiful beach at Castaway Cay.

Have a great time!!:earsgirl:

My 4 year old twins loved the Mickey Bars, playing on the beach at CC, riding the kid size bikes with training wheels (and helmets) at CC, saw Monsters Inc. and Return to Neverland at the movie theater, have their pillows on their beds that they colored at Pumbaa's PJ Party, the lunch bag and water bottle from the kids club, I don't remember the name of the program-but they made picture frames in the club and Minnie Mouse surprised them and each kid had their picture taken with her to put in their picture frame-I have them hanging on the fridge (a free souviner), DD loved the face painting on the last night, DS loved Mouseketeer in Training-Mickey came in at the end, the Mickey slide, eating hot dogs-chicken nuggets-chocolate milk-and french fries every night for a whole week on Goofy Plates, and the Family Dance Parties.

Tay N Evie's Mom, if you remember the photo frame one and Minnie mouse that would be great as that sounds such a neat thing to have afterwards.

Thanks everyone else too!, and will definitely do a report when we get back, it all sounds so much fun for these lucky preschoolers. Can't wait to see his face ALL week!!.
