We'll be in Disney at the beginning of June and I'm trying to figure out what to bring as far as strollers/a baby carrier go.

My son will be 3 months shy of turning 4 years old, so he's at that stage where he doesn't like strollers, but will sit in one if he's tired. My daughter will be 3 months old and I don't know if I want to do a baby carrier or a stroller.

What do yall recommend? And what baby carrier?

I say DEFINATELY a baby carrier of some sort and try it out a little(like a mall trip) before you leave. I have a front carrier and we used it a ton in AUgust(my DD was 2mo). I liked having her secure to me during rides and waiting in lines.

You might be suprised by your son. At such a BIG place with BIG crowds, kids can be easily intimidated. My son was no problem in the stroller as long as he could get out whenever possible.

WHatever you do don't go buy a stoller or carrier for the trip without trying them out at home first. It si like buying new shoes and not breaking them in first!

;)

Gosh- three months old, in June...Moby? Maybe something made of solarveil to help protect her from the sun? I love my Ergo for Disney- but you would need the infant insert and I would think that all that might get quite warm for both you and babe.

I like having a place to lay a baby that age down- so a full recline double would be ideal. Or something you could attach your carseat to...

Baby Jogger City Select or City Mini-Great Sunshades and full recline- plety of room for the 4 yr old.
Something with a Buggy Board for the older child?
Joovy Caboose Ultralight with the car seat attachment ( this is long though)

Just some idea!

I love wraps at that age. But in May with my 5 month old my Moby was just too hot so the 2nd day I switched to the Ergo, still hot but not as hot. I need to look in to the solarveil ones for this baby though.

I'd do a double stroller. (bring a wrap but it probably will be too hot to do all day long) You 4 year old will want the stroller and so will you. Our daughter just turned 4 and our rule is that you ride between lands. She understands that this means she gets on more rides and that she gets to eat snacks on the go. If you don't have a double stroller and don't think you'd use one at home normally I'd suggest renting one. The doubles from orlando stroller are really nice.

Sling/wrap definitely. Much easier! I used it all the time with my daughter....wish I knew they existed when I had my son. I personally used a sling. Have fun!

If the baby has good head control a ring sling would be perfect...if you could find a solarveil one that would be a major plus...sun protection and you can go right in the pool with it!

I would bring a double stroller AND a carrier of some sort to keep all my options open. You aren't going to be able to bring the stroller in the lines, so a carrier will be very useful at that point, and you'll want to be able to put the infant in the stroller to sleep as well.

I had good luck with the Maya Wrap and the Baby Bjorn. I used them both at various times (in fact, when I went to WDW when my son was 9 months old, I brought both of them and swapped around depending on my mood, and because DH would use the Baby Bjorn but not the Maya Wrap).

Either way, get used to whatever wrap/carrier you think you'll use on the trip well before you go. You want to be sure that both you and baby are comfortable with it.

As for your 3 year old, he'll get tired and you'll be glad you have a place for him to sit and ride. It's good to have the option, even if he never does sit in it (besides that, it will give you somewhere to put your stuff in)

Thanks everyone for all of the advice!

I looked up the weight limits on my daughter's stroller from her travel system and kids can ride in it up to 50 lbs! :thumbsup2 I left it reclined all the way and made Jake sit in it to see how he fit... and he's just fine in it! YAY!! So, if you're at Disney in June and see a boy in a pink & black stroller, don't be afraid to wave and say hi! HAHA!

So, I've decided to bring a baby carrier and that stroller. That way, when Jake is walking and Mallory doesn't want to be in the carrier, she can ride in her stroller!

We've done three trips with a 3 year old and a young baby. A single stroller and a wrap worked great. I love my Maya Wrap. Our stroller wasn't great but did recline all the way.

I have to bring a stroller for an infant. For me--even though they are light, by the end of the day of baby wearing, my back is spent.

As for the 4yo...EPCOT is only biggest issue, or staying extremely late for fireworks. Because of that, we have brought our son an umbrella stroller when he was 3. We did not want to carry him as he is large (so a year ahead in size) and dead weight when he is asleep.

Back when I just had 2 children, I had a double stroller. I have friends that use the sit and stand. But that folds up rather largely, so I never liked the second hand one that we used briefly.

My son is too old for me to invest in a big double stroller. So carrying the separate umbrella has worked for us. Keep it in the room, and then when you go back for a late evening, use it then.
