Prepayment at Universal hotels

This may sound odd to some of you, but I'd like to prepay the second night of our two night stay at the Portofino Bay Resort. I can't seem to just call the hotel and pay, and I keep being told that I'll be emailed the paperwork I need but I still haven't received it. This is partly so that I don't have to worry about it when we get there, and partly so I don't spend all my money at WDW!

Has anyone done this, and if so, how did you do it? Were there any difficulties I should be aware of?

I send a check for prepayment on my stays, being do this way for awhile.
I send it to Loews hotel accounting
6800 lakewood Plaza Dr.
Orlando, Fl. 32819
Make sure you put res#,hotel, dates on the check.

Also don't forget to add parking to the total(if you will have a car).
I think it is about $22.00(tax included) per night

They emailed me the form...it's a preauthorization form. I filled it out and faxed it back. When they received the paperwork they charged my cc that I entered on the form.
