If you prepay your excursions online/over the phone using a Disney Visa, do you get the same interest free financing for so many months like you do when paying for your cruise using a Disney Visa?

I tried searching the forums, but couldn't find this topic discussed before.

Thanks!

You can't pre-pay excursions. You can put credit on your onboard account ahead of time, but it isn't designated to paying for the excursions.

The free financing applies to any Disney-specific purchases. Paying for your cruise counts. Also, if you pre-pay gratuities. But, I'm not sure that buying onboard credit would count. You may need to contact the VISA people and see if they can clear that up.

If you add money to your onboard account pre-cruise with the Disney Visa you will get the 0% financing. I add up everything that I think I will spend and add it to our account.

Good point on my wording... not truly pre-paying, but adding X dollars of credit that equals the cost of my excursion :) That said, doesn't pre-paying your gratuities work the same way? Aren't you really just putting a credit on your account in the amount of the gratuities - or is it different?

Well, there you go. Thanks for the info.

KristiMC is right on…you don't really "pre-pay" anything, including gratuities. You just bulk up your onboard account credit, which you use to pay gratuities, drinks, bingo, excursions, etc. Zero interest if from a Disney card. If at the end of the cruise you owe more, they'll charge your card. If you owe less, you'll get a refund to your card.

But, it doesn't hurt a thing to add up what you expect to spend and think of it as pre-paying. In that sense you can certainly "pre-pay" anything your heart desires.
