Preparing for rain

Deadpool was cancelled Saturday but allegedly operating Sunday (we couldn’t make the times it was playing, the CM by the diorama/stage told us it was on, weather depending).

Prepare yourself on the parade if the prior day or two gets canceled— we arrived in the IASW area around 8:15 and cast members were telling people to give up because all viewing areas were totally packed (they looked the most crowded I can remember in years except for the huge amount of space behind the chairs in reserved seating areas)— we ended up getting in a long line for storybook boats with a not great but not terrible view of the first 5 minutes of the parade before finally boarding the boats.

Yes. Right across from the entrance. I sat in the area right behind them in the summer. Was hoping for some pixie dust 🤣🤣😂

For VIP tours and Club 33...I asked one of the CMs there, all plaids.

At least on Sunday, the VIP section was moved. It is now across from the terraced area. I took a quick photo as we walked behind it. It was in the red area on the map. The hearing impaired section was in the same spot it always is (teal on the map). In picture with the reindeer, you can see the two people in blue shirts and black pants signing for the people standing behind the rope. For the second parade, Santa was signing from his sled.

Not ruin the vacation of those traveling during the holidays. People do still visit after the holidays.
1) The park cost the most right now and has extra entertainment that is affected by rain
2) This is the holidays us when people want to come to Disneyland and be together, not everyone but its when a majority of people come

So for me if I have to have rain now or January, its then because thats the off season when rides are closes, ticket deals are happening and just less is happening in the parks. I don't want anyone's vacation ruined but it will affect less people after the holidays, so hope thats when we get more rain like this

Your right...we should not have rain?

I dont know what people want we need rain and I said why the holidays are the worst time for rain if you disagree cool but rain has to happen

It is the blanket statement that said to rain after the holiday's to not ruin people's vacations, as if people only visit the parks during the holidays. Rain, while on vacation sucks. Whether it be during the holidays or a random Tuesday in February.

I'm sorry there is no winning here

The Holidays are when the most people come and the most shows are happening

I don't want it to rain for anyone but the rain must happen or we have no life, so if its going to rain please rain after the busiest time of the year with the most amount of outside shows. If you have a problem with that statement, I'm just sorry not going to wish it now

As someone who was at DL where it rained for the better part of the 3 days we were there I have to agree with the others opinions on this. It didn't ruin my vacation but it was the first time I had been to DL since I was a toddler (nearly 30 years later at that time in 2019) and it was the first time for my husband.

We didn't know if we would get another shot at a trip even though my husband was temporarily relocating to Long Beach for 9 months it was completely unknown if would ever have enough time with his work (normally you can't take vacation much if at all while you're on a field assignment). We luckily got another shot in September 2019 for another 3 days when I flew to CA to visit him but had that trip in March been the only one it would have kinda been a sour experience, still a lot of fun overall and we made the most of being perpetually in our rain jackets and took advantage of the short time periods it wasn't raining but it was also wasn't just a run of the mill locals trip so it impacted more than someone who is more than able to come back a few days later.

The rain situation is much bigger than we encountered in 2019 so I really do feel for people there, even a local, but it is flippant to make it like poor weather conditions should just wait until after the holidays as if it doesn't have the same impact to someone who planned their trip some other month. It just sucks all around really, needed rain or not.

I think you should stop while you are ahead @JerrodDragon89 .
