Hello!

I'm from North Carolina so don't know how the area around the San Diego Cruise Terminal is and we have to do a prenight hotel because of the time change and flight. Does anyone have any recommendations for hotels? Maybe one that includes a shuttle for the cruise or at least is reasonable distance for an Uber or Lyft. Thanks!

Well, I don't know the cost, but the Wyndam is right across the street from the dock. That's it on the left of the picture (with the blue tower)

Just a walk across the street gets you there.

We stayed at the Springhill suites San Diego Downtown/Bayfront. Looking @PrincessShmoo photo, it's the hotel on the right with the yellow stripe going down the side of the hotel. Includes breakfast. Easy walk. Very nice.

We stayed at the Springhill Suites downtown and I was able to watch the Wonder come into port from my Window!

Wyndham is right across the street from the dock and will allow for parking (fee) during the cruise, if you need that. We're doing that for a HOTHS cruise in October.

While it’s not as close as the Wyndham, we stayed at the Manchester Hyatt and loved it. It was a very short taxi ride to the pier and we had a room overlooking the harbor where we were able to see the Wonder come into port also. It’s a gorgeous hotel. There are a lot of restaurants close by.

We stayed at the Hotel del Coronado and took an Uber. Wonderful hotel and only 15 min from the port. Super easy.

San Diego is a very easy city to get around the immediate downtown/harbor area. The airport is "almost" walking distance to everything. Look at Google maps....almost any hotel in the Gaslight Quarter or Seaport area will be very convenient, maybe even walkable. Coronado is lovely and not far but if you are only using it to sleep overnight, might not be worth the $$.

If you can, arrive a few days early or stay a couple of extra days....great city.

We also stayed at the Springhill Suites and highly recommend. A very easy walk to port even with luggage. They also offer a buffet breakfast in the morning.

We like the San Diego Wyndham Bayside. Free airport shuttle, and it’s right across the street from the cruise terminal. Lots of stuff to see and places to eat within walking distance too.

We stayed at the Hampton Inn Downtown. Also a short walk but DM is 75 so we opted for the free shuttle. Included breakfast as well.
