Are they worth the extra cost? I'm debating on changing to just staying at the hojo our whole trip instead of doing 2 nights at the Hojo and then switching to the Desert inn...but I can't decide! Desert Inn is closer is the only thing that is making me hesitate.

They can be worth it. But there are some huge trees that can block the Disney view from some rooms. Our first room was totally blocked from the view and they nicely agreed to move us the next day. So, there is some chance of missing the view. This is actually my current hesitation about returning as we get in really late and I don't want to be stuck with the worst view in the place.

Personally, the only category I would avoid is the one facing the highway in building 1...I believe that is considered standard. I think the deluxe pool view would be good. The room sizes are the same in all three categories, I believe - 356 sq. ft.

The view we had when we were there was great, but there was a tree right outside our balcony that no doubt completely obscured the room next to us. It's a hit and miss proposition.

It depends. We usually don't get the Premium view because we're usually in the park to see fireworks. However when we went for the Avengers Race weekend I knew I'd be back at the room earlier so we booked the premium view. Our room had a perfect view, no tree blockage, and we watched the fireworks from the room both nights they took place. For that trip it was worth it. But for our normal summer trip we dont spend enough time in the room to really justify the cost difference. We actually really like the standard double/double rooms.

We also used to stay at Desert Inn and Suites and yes the location is awesome. But we prefer the kids pool at Hojo so much more and the beds are so much more comfortable, the rooms are brighter. Personally I'd stay at Hojo the whole trip. The walking difference btwn the two properties
is less than 5 minutes.
