Premium Reservation, Where would you stay?
We have reservations for May 17th thru thr 27th.:yay: :yay: We have stayed on the 300 loop before. Which loop should I request? (I do know it is just a request)
Will the 600 loop be done by May?

Depends on what is important to you:

-Do you want to be closer to the pool or the marina?

-Do you want a comfort station on your loop?

-Is being close to a comfort station important to you?

-Do you have a problem with a site backing up to one of the main roads?

-Are you going to have a pet with you?

-Are you going to be using the dog park?

-Do you want to be on a non-pet loop if you do not have pets with you?

-Do you have children who want to use a playground, basketball hoop, or tether-ball?

If you provide some more information, I would be happy to give you recommendations.

I think the 600 loop will be done by May.

The 300 loop is a preferred loop, not a premium loop.

We stayed in the 600 loop the end of Sept. If it's done by the time of your trip, I'd stay there again. The location was very good. Close enough to both the Meadow and Settlement areas.

TCD, Thank you......

We do not have kids,
We do have two small dogs and will bring a Golf Cart.
I do not think I would want to have a site that backed up to the road or a cabin.

Comfort Station, pool or Marina is not important, I think I would like to be in one of the new remodeled sites though..

OK, now we are getting somewhere.

The premium loops that are done right now are: 400, 500, 800, 1200 and 1300. I think that 600 and 1400 will be done by May (they probably will be done by the end of this month).

I think, based on the absence of poop bags, that 1200-1400 are not official dog loops.

So, that leaves 400, 500, 600 and 800.

If you think that you dogs will visit the dog park often, I would say go with 400 or 500. Those are closest to the dog park.

If being close to the dog park isn't that important, go with the 600 or 800 loop.

There are fewer sites that back right up to the road on the 800 loop. I know Auntie recommended 600, but some of those sites are right on the main campground road. Not a real big deal, but I would rather have trees behind my site than asphalt.

Since location, comfort stations and playgrounds aren't your major concerns, I suggest that you fax a request to the site assigner that simply says that you would be happy with a site on any premium pet loop, as long as it is not right next to a comfort station, and does not back up to one of the major campground roads. That would give the assigner the maximum flexibility to give you the best available site. I'll bet that would do the trick. :thumbsup2

Have fun!

Hey there!
We'll be there 23rd-30th- so we'll be there at the end part of your stay! :)

I can only speak for myself but I like the 800 Loop. :)

For those who've mentioned the 800 loop, what is it that you like? I've stayed in 400 (like the proximity to the settlement) and 1400 (like the proximity to the pool) and spent time in 500, so I'm pretty familiar with those loops, but I'm having trouble visualizing 800.

For the record, I LOVE loop 500 for it's central location and proximity to the marina for the sounds.

The 800 loop has many advantages to it --
Since you will have a golf cart, it's location is not a factor.
It is a large loop that goes back into the woods pretty far which means you will not have any bus noise if you can get one of the back sites as opposed to the front of the loop.
It's a pet loop.
Some of the sites on the backside of the loop on the curve are very large and private.
So if you are looking for a private, quiet, out of the main stream site, I would highly recommend 800 loop.

Hi thank you, I did look at the 800 loop on the map and you are right. It looks very secluded. I think I will request that loop.

So the 700's won't be premium? Poo! I really liked the site I had last July, but we have a premium site for our trip in a couple of weeks. I have no need for premium, but by BFF's CM daughter got her discount and that is what they gave her. So what should I request with no golf cart, doesn't have to be right by a comfort station as we have a TT, but want to be able to walk to the boat and Trail's End?

No pets= 400 - closer to marina (bus stop is Settlement Outpost)
Pets = 500 - easy but longer walk to marina (has a bus stop)

We loved, loved, LOVED the 800 loop. It was very secluded and quiet. It didn't have the "neighbors on top of you" feeling at all. :thumbsup2

700 will be Premium, just not in the next 2 weeks... just didn't want anybody to be confused. I suspect 700 will be the next loop converted, but we'll see.
