Premium Plan for One Night Just for the Tours, LaNouba, etc.??

Sorry if this been asked..but i am on my phone and cannot search this thread:-) can dvc get this plan without tickets. How much is the premium and platnum plan per night for children and adults? Would it be worth it for a single parent with two kids..age 7&9..i assume they cannot do a lot of the activities tours etc??

No, one of the stipulations is that you have to pay rack-rate for the room and it has to be a package that includes at least 1-day base tickets. We have APs so we'll be keeping the 1-day tickets to apply to our next APs.

I'm not sure it would be worth it with 2 kids under 10. You could do the Family Magic Tour but it's not that expensive anyway. If they love watersports, you could do boat rentals, or go fishing, mini golf, and La Nouba, of course. You could do some of the dinner shows, like the Luau or Hoop-Dee-Doo, which might be fun for the kids. You'd get use of the child-care centers, too, so if you wanted to have some time to yourself, you could leave them at one of the kids' clubs. But, I'm not sure that even with all that that you'd get your money's worth. You could run the numbers and see, though.

Regarding the Richard Petty, don't you actually need to book it to receive a voucher? They told us yesterday that once you book within 30 days the cancellation fee is full price. I guess I'm not following how you're able to get a voucher good for the length of stay. :confused3

So we finally took the plunge and booked a 1-nt Plat for the end of next month, so excited!!

Please Prem/Plat vets (or upcoming vets) either critique and/or add suggestions to my plans. :flower3:
Also, we will have our personal vehicle to get around.

Staying at AKL CL 1 nt room only prior to package.

Day 1
6 am - Check into package AKL and hopefully grab CL breakfast

I don't think you can make a reservation for the ride along ahead of time. You need to just show up. It would be nice if they will honor the voucher later in the week. I will call them while we are there to check.

I just got off the phone with AKL IPO who confirmed that the RP voucher will be in the packet, and I would just present it upon walkup. No reservations required. This is quite different from what Disney recreation told me yesterday. I'm glad I declined booking it.

IPO also stated that the Fantasmic, fireworks cruise, La Nouba vouchers would all be in there as well. It was entirely up to me whether I choose to book in advance or not. Does this sound correct?

DH and I were discussing adding on a 1 nt plat for our upcoming trip. Are we obligated to use IPO for booking fishing excursions, spa, etc?

I enjoy planning things myself, so just wondering.

And another thing, DH wants to start off fishing at 7 am. Is the earliest checkin time 6:30 am?

TIA

When I tried to do a 6:20 a.m. check in I was told that I couldn't check in until 7 a.m. One of the managers had to come over to show the CM how to use two windows on the computer to do it. So it can be done--get a manager if they tell you it can't.

I called race track directly and asked if I could use my ride along voucher on a day that I am not on my Plantium Plan, and she said I could use it any day

Interesting. We're doing our platinum plan on our last 2 full days at the parks -- any chance we can pick up our package a few days earlier?

I'm sorry if this was asked before but I've been looking through this (very helpful) thread and I'm a bit confused.

I understand that You have to book a deluxe resort at rack rate for one night to with base tickets to get the platinum plan. What I'm not clear about is if I'm going for 6 nights would i only get the platinum plan for the one night I pay for and stay in a deluxe?
Or can I book a deluxe resort for one night with the platinum plan and then switch over to a moderate resort for the remaining 5 nights of my stay? Then would the Platinum plan be extended for the remaining 5 days of my trip or does it end after the one night stay at the deluxe?

Thanks so much for the help (what a great idea by the way, can't believe I only discovered it now)

You would get the Platinum Plan for only the night you stay in the Deluxe resort.
What you could do, if you wanted, is to book the Premium Plan for the rest of your stay.
But the Plat PLan will only be valid for the day you check into your Deluxe Resort, and the day you check out of that resort.
So you actually have (2) days to take advantage of your plan benefits.
That is why everyone talks about checking in so early in the morning.
It gives you that entire day as well as the next day until midnight to use the plan.
HTH!

Since no one has responded yet, I'll help out here.

This tour is 3 hours. It won't be over until 1230-12:45. You also need to give yourself travel time back to DH for lunch.
I would say 1:15-1:30 at best for lunch.
Maybe DH could do RP during your spa time (or afterwards if he is joining you!)

12 pm - CS lunch at CR oop
1 pm - DH Richard Petty MK parking lot
2 pm - Me spa treatment AKL or SS (transportation for SS?)
5 pm - Dinner at V&A GF (valet)

Again, not enough time allowed here. SD's told me to plan 1 hour for Parasailing. Maybe drop lunch since you have (2) big meals later? Otherwise, you need to do some schedule shuffling to allow proper time for Parasailing. Maybe drop Fulton's and eat a big lunch somewhere else earlier.
12 pm - CS lunch at CR oop
1 pm - Me Spa at WL
3 pm - Drive to DTD
4 pm - Early dinner at Fulton's DTD
6 pm - La Nouba
9:15 - Late dinner at FF BW

Thank you!

Day 1 cs lunch at CR - was meant for DH only.

Day 2 cs lunch at CR - I wasn't even thinking when I put that in. We'll just grab a light breakfast/snack on that day.

I'm leaving today for my trip. Will be on the premium plan this Saturday-Sunday. I'm so nervous that I'm going to forget something. I'll let you know how everything turns out when I get back.

Woo-Hoo!!!!
Have a great trip!!
I hope everything works out perfectly with your plans and you have a super time!!
Thanks again for all your help, and be sure to post about how it went after you get back!!

We're a week out from heading down, but we don't go Platinum till the 20th.
Still trying to tweak ADR's to fit our schedule a little better, but what we have will work if necessary.

Can't wait to hear how your trip turns out!!
Safe travel!!

As miuch as DH & I enjoyed our Platinum weekend a few weeks ago (and I know we still need to post a trip report:upsidedow), I am totally looking forward to our club level stay at WL this weekend with nothing more planned than Hoop de Doo on Sunday! :cloud9:

Please do post how your Platinum weekend went!

Hope you have a nice relaxing time this weekend!!

We head to WDW next week and will be doing the one night Platinum on the 11 th and12th. When looking at the extended forecast it looks like rain so now I'm wondering if this is the best idea. We have things like boating, parasailing, horseback riding, segway tour for DH, Steam train tour for DD and myself, fireworks cruise, all of which are outside. I'm just not sure that we will get the money's worth if everything is canceled. Since Cirque will be dark on Sunday and Monday that's out. I'm assuming that they won't do the drive along at Richard Petty if it rains right? Any ideas of things we could do that are on the plan that won't get canceled if it rains? We are already doing the spa treatments, Victoria & Alberts and Citricos. We wanted to do this to experience other things besides the parks. Any hope would be greatly appreciated. Reguardless of the weather we are soooo looking forward to this trip.
