Premium Plan for One Night Just for the Tours, LaNouba, etc.??

So I just moved our package from the Poly over to Wilderness Lodge (saving $200 in the process). I have one modification to make to our itinerary. Is the email address Wilderness.Itinerary.Planning@disneyworld.com ?

OK.. just tried and the email came back so I guess it's something else lol

Hi there! I was just reading over your schedule (which looks like lots of fun, by the way!) and wanted to be sure you know that you can't take a boat directly from WL to GF. You can boat from WL to MK, FW and CR. To boat to GF is going to require a transfer of some sort; either you can boat to MK and take another boat to GF, or boat to CR and take the monorail to GF.

Also, you said you plan to drive and park at CR while you go to MK. You may need to plan to valet park for that; typically you only get a 3-hr parking pass at the resorts to prevent people from parking at the resorts for free and going to a park. Buses will be running for early morning ADRs so you should be able to get a bus to MK.

Hope you have a blast!

Will it not matter than we are on the Platinum plan and have watercraft & spa reservations? Does having annual passes make the parking issue any easier? (We park for free at the parks so we'd clearly not be trying to park at the resort to avoid paying for parking!)

Thanks for identifying what might be issues for us!

I hate to say "I don't know," so I'll say, "it'll depend," because it will likely depend on the CM at the CR gate. Since your watercraft and spa reservations are for afternoon and you'll be trying to park at 6:30 in the morning, I'm thinking they might have an issue with it. Even if you have an AP, you can't park at the resorts for theme park access. The lots are reserved for guests of the resort. Day guests (who are there for a dining reservation or to explore the resort) are usually only given a 3-hr parking pass. That's why I said you might plan to valet park. It'll be a few dollars ($15-ish plus tip) but you can park there all day with no worries. I see from your timeline why you want to have your car easily accessible and not have to go all the way back to WL to get it, and that it might be challenging to do it all with Disney transportation.

Hope you have a great time! :wizard:

Anybody know if it would be possible to do the 8:30 am horseback riding @ Ft Wilderness and get to Dolphins in Depth on time?

We will have a car, so if HB Riding finishes @ 9:15 (45 min riding time), that'd give us 30 minutes to get to the check-in @ Epcot.

Am I wishful thinking, or could this possibly work?

We packed in AK tour, dinner at LeCellier, Epcot Segway tour, parasailing, lunch at 1900 Park Fare, private golf lessons, dinner at The Yachtsman, and had tickets to LaNouba (which we missed due to the slowest waiter EVER at Yachtsman who took over an HOUR just to bring our bill/correct our bill/ have me sign our bill/ at which time the show was starting....I was talking to a manager by the time it got to the table already. Did I mention that we did not start until 1 pm the first day? That is why we only got one tour in before dinner.

This package is WORTH the MONEY if you abuse it right:rotfl: no one under 16 should be using this...most of the tours have age restrictions on them, anyway....but a 10-12 year old, say, would be exhausted half way through a day of hardcore touring.

Also, leave at least an hour between events/tours if you have your own car or are taking a taxi...LONGER if using Disney transportation...

I think our plans are all set for our anniversary night in November! I spread some things out so we were not running around like crazy. I wish I could fit in a lunch somewhere, but we do not want to eat a big lunch before V&A and we would be so full before swimming/AS the second day. The only other thing I could do would be a late lunch after Aqua Seas but then dinner would be super late. I think we will just use the credit for a room service breakfast.

Thursday
Check in at Wilderness Lodge
8am-Snack/Mugs
9am-Jet Ski Tour
11am-Parasailing
12pm-Snack
1pm-Horseback Riding
2pm-Pool Time
3:30pm-2 Massages/Sturdy Branches
 will this be enough time to get dressed up and over to V&A?
5:30pm-Victoria and Albert's
8:45pm-Movie by the Pool

Friday
7am-Room Service BF
8am-Rent Bikes to FW?
8:30am-10:30am Wilderness Back Trails Segway/FW
11am-Snacks @ F&W Booths Won't make it by 11 but before 12:30
12:30pm-3pm-Aqua Seas:confused3, you will be wet, and how far away is this?
3:30pm-Richard Petty? I think this activity t#akes quite a bit longer? but I have never done it...all booked when we tried:sad2:
5:30pm-California Grill
8pm-Wishes Cruise

Bikes and Richard Petty are maybes if we have time. Anyone hear anything about Wild Africa Trek being added to the plans? I would move the Segway tour to Thursday, cancel or move Jet Skis and add the early 8am-11am WAT to Friday so I have planned in case it is added. ;)

Just my opinions...

I think you are cutting it too close. I would allow at least an hour.

Thanks again sarahgirl.

I thought that was probably the case.

I was thinking that maybe if we got there early, and no one else was doing that session, they might start us out early so we would get done sooner.

However, I guess we wouldn't know that until that morning.

Hi all!! :dance3:

My husband and I are excited to get away on our very first adult only trip to WDW!! (Or anywhere besides our honeymoon!) :lovestruc

We did the Premium for one night. Can you look over what we're thinking of doing and give your honest opinions? We are not abusing it :lmao: to its full extent do to the fact that I'll be 7 months pregnant with number six, but I worked out the prices and we are certainly winning!! :)

:confused3One question though....is it like the DDP where you can use it both days, the day of arrival and until midnight the day of checkout? If not, then my whole evil plan is messed up. ;)

Buying package for Thursday, October 20, so...

Thursday
7:15 am Chef Mickey's (yes, groan, I know....I'm a big kid at heart!)
9:30 Keys to the Kingdom
6pm Cirque
9:30 Carriage at PO or FW

Friday (Only if I can use it both days, day of arrival and day of checkout)
7:30 am Magic Behind Steam Trains
12:00 Rose and Crown
5:00pm Yachtsman
Preferred at Illuminations

What do you guys and gals think? Anything else we can add? We're only down 19-24 (leaving at o'dark hundred on the 24th) so I want to make sure we have plenty of park time too, not just tours. I thought about adding surrey bike somewhere, or a boat rental. Ideas??

One other thing, I have not reserved any of this stuff yet (besides room and Premium of course) as we just discussed actually doing the Premium last night. Is availability going to be an issue?

I'm just so excited!! :banana:I'm going back to read through some old posts now.

Thanks in advance for your advice and input!! :wizard:

Looks good, you might want to think about doing some watersports and/or parasailing. Also there are fishing excursions that you might want to check out in the afternoon starting at 1:30 that might work for you. If either of you have ever had any interest in playing golf this would be your chance as everything is included and you could talk to a real golf pro. You also might check out more expensive meal options as all the credits just count as 1.

I've noticed something as I have been planning my trip that I thought I might share for people that are still planning. In the beginning I was all about trying to cram as much into the 2 days as humanly possible (and for a solo 28 year old- it can be alot). But as I have been revising I have been taking more stuff out that I just put in there to fill the space and add to the final dollar amount. I'm going in early September and its going to be HOT. I did have a golf lesson scheduled for mid afternoon- not because I have any interest in golf but because there isn't much in the premium plan that can be done in the afternoon on a weekend so why not do that. Last night though I came to the conclusion that I was just doing it for the sake of saying I did it. So I'm canceling that, also I am taking a hard look at the menus and deciding to go to someplace based on the menu not based on the price point. So I'm taking out California Grill and putting in Artist Point.

On the second day I have nothing scheduled for the afternoon as that is going to be my backup time if the parasailing and or tubing gets rained out the afternoon before. If it doesn't I just plan on renting a boat and surrey bike at OKW (resort I'm checking into next). I am coming to the conclusion of less being more.

OK, up for your scrutiny:

Here is the plan for our first day on the Platinum Plan.

6:45 am - Check in at Wilderness Lodge
7:45 am - Breakfast @ Chef Mickey's
9:00 am - Travel to Epcot Main Gate
9:30 am - Check in for Dolphins in Depth
12:30 pm - Shift from Dolphins to Seas Aqua Tour
3:15 pm - Walk to The Land
3:45 pm - Behind the Seeds Tour
4:45 pm - Walk/drive to Boardwalk area
5:30 pm - Hydrobike (if still open - not sure of operating times) (if we can't do Hydrobikes, we will shift Surrey up to 5:30 and add time @ Fantasia)
6:00 pm - Surrey Bike Rental
7:00 pm - Travel to Fantasia Mini Golf for Putt-Putt
8:30 pm - travel to POR
9:00 pm - Carriage Ride
9:30 pm - Travel to DTD
10:15 pm - Dinner @ Planet Hollywood
Back to Hotel to rest for Day 2!!

Anything not look feasible?

We will have a car to get around, so no relying on WDW transportation.

We are also very seasoned Disney fanatics, so we know how to get from point A to Point B efficiently.

Also, I know our meals don't look like the best use of credits, but it's what we enjoy. We're not into the fancy meals and specialty dishes at places like V&A's. Considered Narcoosee's, but decided against it for various reasons.

6:00 pm - Surrey Bike Rental
7:00 pm - Travel to Fantasia Mini Golf for Putt-Putt
8:30 pm - travel to POR I would add alittle more time for travel here especially since you are supposed to be early for the carriage ride

Overall I think you have a great plan and really stacked those tours well. I'm assuming that you are doing Cirque the next night.

I think you have become my private information booth!! :rotfl:

We are actually going at the end of Sep and Cirque is dark that week.

So we will get the GC's I guess.

I will make an adjustment on the travel time between Fantasia and the POR Carriage ride. If the Hydrobikes are closed, we'll have extra time in there anyway. Plus, we'll be doing Putt-Putt on the 2d night as well.

We also have an all-day putt-putt certificate for one of the places in town. So we may not even need to do Fantasia that night. But we always enjoy it when we go to WDW, so we probably will still do it!! :goodvibes

Thanks for the input!! :thumbsup2

Remember that as part of your package you also get a certificate to use for 1 free round of minigolf per room/package. Everyone who books a Magic My Way package gets the certificate, so if you are hankering for even more you got another option.

Just wanted to clarify that you only get 1 certificate per room not per person.

Also if you like more casual restaurants in the Downtown Disney area that the plan also includes Rainforest Cafe. Unlike Planet Hollywood, Rainforest is only available on the Premium/Platinum plans.

Reading this thread just makes me determined to somehow get to do this! I see the fun and value, my DH sees the cost oop. One day...
