Premium Plan for One Night Just for the Tours, LaNouba, etc.??

Disneyyes, our Bff and I have arrived in the World this afternoon! Today We checked in at the Boardwalk (fastest check-in ever) and then walked over to the Dolphin to pick up our rental car. We are doing deluxe dining today and then We are off to the Wilderness Lodge for 3 nights, including a 1 night platinum plan on wednesday night. We ate at Via napoli tonight, enjoyed the sounds of summer concert and avoided raindrops(and thunder and lightening) when We ducked into see The American adventure. We returned to the boardwalk, to pick up and fill our dxdp mugs and enjoyed a nice relaxing swim! Tomorrow We have another deluxe day of eating and we will "rest up" for our Platinum plan on Wednesday and thursday!

Hello! How would I find out how much it would cost to add a 1 night premium onto the end of our Beach Club stay in August? I guess I could add onto the beginning of our stay if I would have more time to do the tours and fireworks cruise...We are a party of 5...all considered adults in Disney's eyes:(

Out of curiosity, how much would platinum be?

We are doing 1 night Platinum in September at the Beach club. We will have 3 girls that are Disney adults and after talking with the IPO as well as the GF Spa it is my understanding that anyone 10 and up will get a spa credit on the platinum plan so your 11 year old should get one but not the 7 year old. Also you can give the spa credits to someone in your party as DH and I will be giving ours to our 2 DD's. At least that is what I have been told. We will see in September.

Both packages are room rack rate + at least 1 day ticket/p.p. + $169p.p. premium or $229p.p. platnium

the easiest way to price it out is to use the reservation quote tool on the WDW website.

Here are the official brochures. Although they (IPO) are telling you otherwise, it may be that the person you are talking to is not acquainted with the changes.

How many people are in your party and what resort are you looking at. There are a number of variables when booking these.

For my solo trip in September I was able to get 1 night at POP on the premium plan for $354.10. Granted this was during value season and I did get AAA to book it for me so I save a little bit there.

Remember these plans don't work for everyone.

That.

We're doing a night of the platinum plan at BWI in Dec, but we're just 2 adults on this trip. Our total cost is $1520.32 & that includes 8 day hoppers for both of us.

We're paying $150 more for the night at the BWI over the other nights at Dolphin, plus 2 adults on the platinum plan, 2 x $229 = $458. So about $600 for the plan. However we were already planning on the photopass ($100), dinner at V&A ($250), dinner at Cali Grill ($150), and Cirque ($230). That adds up to $730, so we're already saving money on the plan. Plus the other stuff just becomes a bonus (the 3rd meal, parasailing, backstage safari, seqway, fireworks cruise, etc). If we weren't already planning on doing several pricey things that the plan includes, that $1500 wouldn't sound so good.

We are a party of five...all considered adults in disneys eyes. And we are already staying at Beach Club so would like to stay with that resort.

I can see where you are coming from. The premium part of the package alone is going to cost you $845. One of the biggest costs is paying rack rate at Beach Club. Even if you are a AAA member and you book from them I doubt that their discount is going to be anymore than $40-$50. In your case it doesn't look like that good of a deal.

What does everone due with their extra park passes I am doing plantium plan for one nite in Sept, and had to buy 1 day park tickkets. I am also getting free dining for the rest of my vacation and had tobuy passes. Since I always get dinning on my trips how can I use my passes that I bought on Plantium plan?:confused3

You can save them up for a time when you are only going to the parks 1-2 days and use them then, just buy one less day of tickets. When going to the parks only 1-2 days the price is nearly full price so you are saving more than if you used them when you were going to the parks 5-10 days.

Ugh! I think I am falling for a trap. I have my trip nice and booked and then I just go to price out what the it would be to be to do the platinum plan for one night instead of the the premium. For one night it would be $255 more (without the AAA discount). I'm so tempted but I know I should keep things as they are.

If I have already booked this, and want the AAA rate, can I tell AAA to work with the reservation or do I tell Disney?

No you have to actually book it with AAA, using a AAA travel agent.

Also I notice that you are from Nebraska, so you are the same situation as I am. When I went to book they told me that their usual charge was $25 to book the package. The agent was nice enough to not charge me but I wouldn't count on it. The total savings I got was $5.90, so it might not be worth it.

We're doing the platinum plan at the Poly, and made all our 180-day ressies with IPO back in May. In late April we got our welcome letter that told us about the use of IPO services.

We just got another "Welcome" letter from the Poly concierge, this time telling us that our plan includes:

  • IPO services
  • Personalized check-in
  • Access to King Kamehaha Club lounge
  • Bathrobes
  • Turn-down service

It then encourages us to hurry up and book our meals and activities (which we did in May). Should I be concerned that they've lost all our info?

We're not staying concierge level, so can this list of services possibly be right? Anyone else get the extra concierge services (lounge, check-in, robes, turn-down) when staying Platinum but not concierge? Or does this whole letter just sound like a mistake given that we're way past our 180 days and we're not booked concierge?
