Premium Plan for One Night Just for the Tours, LaNouba, etc.??

sorry I've not had them screw up - last year at Beach Club they emailed me an IPO booking form the day after I booked and it was all done by email, including an emailed confirmation. This year the Poly emailed me about 2 weeks out from the 180 day mark with the IPO booking form and I emailed it back. My 180 day mark isn't yet but I am expecting an email confirmation

That's great. Just my bad luck I guess.

Finally got a different IPO. Got a few things booked and a conformation through email. Feel much better.

The idea of this fascinates me! We are going to be at WDW for a week, staying off site-- and we are seriously considering doing this for one night! I have a question-- are you only eligible for unlimited childcare if you have gotten the dining plan for the child in question? We have a 13 and 14 year old sons and a 5 year old daughter and DH and I were thinking that the 13 and 14 year olds would be ok on their own (with phones of course, checking in, etc) during the day, but we'd never let them watch our daughter for that long. Would she be able to go hang out at the resort clubs or would we have to pay the $11 an hour for her?

ETA- What I meant is that the boys would stay on their own at the condo offsite (10 min from MK) and we'd keep the 5 year old in the room with us, but since we already have park tickets etc I wouldn't want to pay to add her on the Premium/Platinum plan and buy a ticket for her. I'm guessing that since she isn't on the room reservation I couldn't get the complimentary child care, huh? Maybe I would be better off bringing our 19 year old niece along to watch her. Hmmm.
Just want to make sure that you realize that you'll have to book a room for that night at a WDW Resort. I think you understand that, you just didn't mention it for sure.
I don't think you'd be eligible for the child care without her being on the plan though, but you could always call and confirm.

I have a question for those of you who are having issues with IPO screwing up your reservations, are they not providing you with a PDF itinerary of the things they have booked? When I worked with Polynesian IPO and Comtemporary IPO both times they sent me PDF's of my itinerary through email. True, I mostly dealt with them over email but I would think even if you do things over the phone they should be able to email you your itinerary so you can check to make sure everything is in order.
I did my bookings over the phone and got confirmation by email once everything was booked and in the system. I think the email came in about 2 days after my 180 day mark. One extra day to book something that had to be at exactly 180 days, not 180+10 days, and one extra day for it all to rollover into the system.

In regards to the kids club at GF or poly, we would be dropping them off around 4:45 and picking them up at 7:00. If I remember right, dinner is included, does this use one of the kids meal credits?

Does anyone have a preference of which kids club is better? Thank you!

Oh, yes. I know that. Thanks!

We are thinking about adding parasailing but my 13 year old doesn't meet the weight to go alone. I DON'T want to go up. If I book a tandem will Sammy Duvall have an employee to go up with her?

I doubt it, but you could call and ask. If you call the the water sports center directly they should be able to answer that question.

Hey all, I'm thinking about splitting up my 2-week stay in December with a 1-night Premium plan in the middle.

If I'm looking at this correctly, I'll have 3 meals, two snacks, a refillable mug, unlimited tours, and unlimited recreation.

I'm thinking I could go to the front desk early, get my new key, and start the first morning with the backwoods Segway tour, then head to the MK for the latest time on Keys to the Kingdom, then rent a water mouse on Bay Lake, then have a nice dinner, then go to Cirque that night.

Then the next morning, start off with the Steam Train tour, then have a nice breakfast somewhere, then maybe the family Magic Tour after breakfast and the Behind the Seeds tour that afternoon, or do the parasailing with Sammy Duval, then a nice dinner and finish off the 2nd evening with the Private Fireworks viewing area.

I have an annual pass, so I would just buy a 1-day ticket and put that away.

I'll be staying at the campground.

What do ya think?? Has anyone done this?? I'm a super frequent visitor, so park time is not huge for me, and I'm thinking this might be a fun couple of days

I haven't read through all the posts and all the answers yet to see if this has been answered, but how much would that one night of premium package cost you? And wouldn't you have to be in a deluxe resort for the one night of premium?

You only have to be in a deluxe resort if you are doing the platinum plan.

We're most likely going to do platinum again, for the third time!! on 10/21-22. :cool1: This time we're celebrating our wedding. we're looking to stay at the animal kingdom lodge, for the first time.

so far, these are the activities we want.

Golf Lessons
Divequest
Massage
Illuminations cruise
Wild Africa Trek (if it's covered)
Bass Fishing
La nouba

and we plan on eating at:

Victoria and Albert's
Hoop de doo (last time they 'yelled' at us for having the anniversary buttons for our 6 year dating anniversary and told us to come back when we were married, so we are!)
Cinderella's Royal Table ( I want to, its so expensive otherwise)
____________

I know that the carriage rides offered at ft. wilderness are covered under the platinum plan, does anyone know if the haunted carriage rides would also be included? That would be seriously awesome.

We also may use the la nouba vouchers later in our stay if that is possible, I know that some people were reporting that you could.

I know a few people have had IPO troubles lately so I just wanted to update on our experience so far. I made our Plat ress about 6 weeks ago. About 2 weeks before our 180 days I got an emailed packet from the IPO office at WL that was specific to the Plat plan. It goes through each category of activity rather than date order. It took me about 2 hours to fill out even though I thought I had everything lined up :surfweb: I emailed it back and then a few hours later called in to give my credit card info for credit card guaranteed activities. We went through the packet over the phone to make sure everything was right. Then the IPO typed everything into their Itin system and I was emailed a letter with everything we wanted to reserve in date and time order. She told me that it would all be booked early on my 180 days and then I would get an updated letter with confirmation numbers added for each activity emailed to me that afternoon. We do want to do Wild Africa Trek if it's added and they have it on there as a special request to keep checking on for me. I'll let everyone know once we get to 180 days if it keeps going this well

I'm actually in the same process through Yacht Club. Same thing they emailed me the IPO specific form. Having stayed Club Level before this is the same form they use for the Club Level IPO, the difference is they send the Platinum Dinning Plan flyer (9 pages) which says what you get and they also send a list of the tours. You fill out the form with all dinning places, dates, times and number in the party. If you want V&A you list the time, date separate from the other dinning plans. Basically you put everything you want on this form and they handle it from there. I do know from dealing with Club Level IPO (which is the same IPO as the Platinum IPO) they do email you your itinerary to go over before they make all the reservations and then they resend once they have the confirmation numbers. They pretty much do anything you want!! I have 7 days to plan for on this plan, so I'm hoping they will guide me with the golf lessons and the water sports stuff. Those are the things I'm having problems coming up with times for. I also asked about the Trek tour if they add it on this plan please let me know as well so it's also noted on my form. When are you actually going to be there??

we've done platinum at both the yacht club and the wilderness lodge, and we experienced the same problem with each check in- they had no idea where our envelope with the la nouns vouchers etc. were. since we checked in early morning there were no managers to help us either, and it took us over an hour to check in each time. I got a lovely chastising for 'living in sin' from the cast member while they were figuring things out at the yacht club too.

 They'd be getting a not so lovely chastising in return from me.

Hmm, if it's going to take that long to check in, I might need to re-think my plans. We are planning early morning tours both mornings

I heard enough comments on long check in that we have a breakfast set for right after checking in at Whispering Canyon so if they need time to find stuff I can just enjoy my breakfast while they run around looking ;P

Can people please post which resort, plat or prem, approximately how long it took to check in, and any voucher missing type problems. I think it would really help people know what to expect, if things are improving, and things commonly missing that need to be tracked down. Thanks!

So I called the Tours department and found out that Inspiration: Through Walt's Eyes has been discountinued and that Marceline to Magic Kingdom Tour has now been added to the premium packaged.
