Premium Plan for One Night Just for the Tours, LaNouba, etc.??

thanks for sharing your story Stjen981
nice to know that everything went smoothly and you enjoyed yourselves

Stjen981, congrats on being pixie dusted with the great upgrades and thank you for sharing your wonderful review with us. :goodvibes

we are going for 11 days.....booked a one night platinum package @ Yacht Club in the middle of our stay.....So far, in 2 days we are doing Segway @ epcot, DH is going on (2) 4 hour fishing excursions, one each day, DH is going to do Richard Petty, both of us parasailing, 2 spa treatments@ Yacht Club, Illuminations cruise, Fultons for dinner and lunch and V&A for dinner one night...La Nouba......including meals, room @ Yacht club, activities I am adding up $2996 and we are paying $936 plus a $57 discount Pittsburgh Fuel program discount=technically paying $879................:cool1:

Hello! Trying to figure this out... I have a 6 night stay at Beach Club with free dining GV room right now. Aug 11-17. If I wanted to add the premium plan onto the end of my trip, should I drop the free dining trip to 5 nights and add 1 more night on as premium?? I can't figure out how much this would cost us. We are a party of five and our kids are considered disney adults.

So that would mean we would have the 16th and 17th for the activities, right?? We wanted to do Cirque and HHR anyway and were gonna have to pay OOP for 2 other meals anyway. Can you have the package as 5 nights with free dining and still have 7 day tickets?? That way we could save the 5 one day base tickets to upgrade later, right? TIA:flower3:

the only thing is, doing the premium at the "end" of your package, only gives you one full day to do all that is available, although the premium plan has less to offer than the platinum plan......you "may" want to consider 2 nights on premium at a mod or value hotel instead of the deluxe, that way you will full days to do the premium plan..........you can still have the deluxe for 4 nights with the FD.......FD requires at least a 2 day base ticket and the premium is requiring at least a 1 day base ticket.......and you can definately add days to these tickets if you wanted to. The premium plan is roughly $160pp, so it's not cheap......... write down everything you want to do/eat (check the diseny dining menus) and put the price next to each activity/meal and see if its worth it.........AAA discounted my room only at the Yacht Club and saved me $100 over the online price...................

Yes, you could. The following prices are based on 1 nt at BC in SV room on Aug 16-17 - 2 adults/3 juniors - 1 day base tickets:

Premium package $1675.52 ($169 per person)
Platinum package $1965.62 ($229 per person)

Although it would be more cost effective to move to a lower priced resort for the Premium package, staying at the same resort (as your FD package) would be a much easier transition for checkout/checkin...and give you the head start you need for early activities.

Correct. A full 2 days worth of activites.

Again, yes. FD requires a minimum 2 day base ticket for everyone on the reservation...and you can purchase up to a 10 day base ticket. For the Prem/Plat packages, you can save your 1 day base tickets for future upgrade.

BTW, not sure what HHR is...Hilton Head Resort?
:confused3

Hope I understood and was able to answer your questions. Although I've yet to book a Plat/Prem package, we looked into this extensively last year.
Happy planning. :goodvibes

I'm lucky to be meeting my sisters and mother in December for Disapalooza. My husband suggested I stay an extra day and do all the tours and things I can never convince my family to do.

As anyone done the package solo? Thx!

Hello

I have been lurking for a long time and rarely post, but thought I would post a quick review of our Platinum Plan 2 night stay over Memorial Day weekend!

My husband and I were celebrating our 1st anniversary. We live a couple hours north of Orlando

Great review Stjen. Enjoyed the perspective, given that we live in Ocala, and have been considering doing the Plat package for our anniversary. We made a deal after our first visit on our honeymoon that we would return to V&A every other year to celebrate. Well next year is a "V&A Year" and I'm thinking that the Plat package is the way to go. My concern is that given how often we go, I wondered if it would be worth it, but after your review, it's pretty clear it is:thumbsup2

I have a trip planned with free dining from July 1 to checkout on July 9 at Coronado. If I do Premium on July 2 and do activities on 7/2 ad 7/3, I will "checkout" of that plan on 7/3 and check in to my free dining plan on 7/3. On July 3 would I get the three meals for premium(to be used by midnight) and the meals for free dining on July 3(the first day of my free dining)? I am debating whether this is worth it for me. I would do La Nouba, water sports, preferred fireworks seating, renting watercraft, maybe the 2 hour fishing. there are 4 of us, 3 adults and one 13 year old. The cost would be $620 additional ($676-$56.00=$620), I would be buying the refillable mugs anyway at $56.00, so its not additional cost.

Platinum Plan and the Itinerary Planning Office
Once you have booked a Platinum Plan package (only - this does not apply to Premium Plan), you will have access to the Itinerary Planning Office (IPO). The IPO can handle all bookings like meals, tours, recreation, and more. You actually must go through them to set up Fantasmic! seating and Priority Fireworks Viewing; they also should set up tours, fireworks cruises and spa treatments so that you are not charged for those. If you're using a Disney specialist travel agent, which I strongly recommend, let the agent do the bookings for you: it's time-consuming.

In theory the IPO will contact you eventually, but if you want to book something difficult to get (Chef's Table at Victoria & Albert's, fireworks cruise during peak season, etc.) you would be wise to contact them (or have your travel agent do so), prior to the 180 day booking period. They will try to get you those bookings right at 180 days.

The IPO can be contacted by email, but they will need your credit card number to guarantee certain bookings (such as spa treatments), and it's not safe to email that. You should do anything that requires your credit card by phone.

The Platinum Plan IPO is open 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, 7 days a week. Call the main switchboard at (407) 824-2222 and ask to be connected with the Platinum Itinerary Planning Office for your resort. Please do not contact the IPO until you have a confirmed reservation! They cannot help you until you're able to provide them with the reservation number for your Platinum Plan package.

Found this on mousesavers, thought it would help people in making decisions when doing a cost comparison, Hope it helps!

I apologize if this has been answered before, but, I've been reading and reading and just seem to get more confused :confused3

So, if anyone could help me figure out if this is the best way to do this "package", I'd be really greatful!! :worship:

We are arriving Saturday, 9/3 and departing on a late flight on Thursday, 9/8.

Arrive 9/3 at MCO at 10:40am, take ME to WL and check in for one night premium package by noon. Grab lunch at Whispering Canyons since we're at this resort.

LaNouba and a Fulton's for dinner that night since it's probably the easiest to get to after the early show and not have to worry about transportation delays.

Check out of premium package on Sunday morning, but, check-in for remaining days on dining plan at WL so no change of resorts.

Breakfast and then one of the tours in the parks another signature dinner and then fireworks viewing.

This is $807 for 2 at the WL.
Does this sound do-able?
Instead of a 6-day ticket for the rest of our stay, we'd be able to do a 4-day hopper.

TIA for your input!

Couple of questions for the experts out there on this topic....

1. If we have a party of 5 adults 1 infant on the Platinum Package and want to do the Fireworks Cruise, can another couple and their two kids (who are not on the package because they are staying off site but will be meeting up with us during our stay) join us? I assume not, but figured it wouldn't hurt to ask.

2. Does anyone know what times the DiveQuest tour takes place? Is it continuous throughout the day or only once or twice per day at specific times?

3. Cirque...if 2 people in our party want to go to the 9pm show and the other 3 want to go to the 6pm show, can we book it this way or does everyone in our party have to go to the same show? I would think we could split it up, but I've been proven wrong in the past.

Thanks for the help to whoever out there wants to answer!
