Did the Premium Annual Pass always offer just one FOTL per ride after 4pm or did it ever offer unlimited FOTL after 4 pm? When I bought the pass for our April trip it was treated just like a room key. Now they are scanning it. Did they change the policy recently?

This benefit was changed from unlimited after 4pm to once through the line...I don't remember when it was changed though. I understand that sometimes it's not enforced but the rule is once through the Express lines now.
 
OK. I thought I was losing my mind. I know when I bought the pass in March I was told I would get unlimited FOTL after 4pm. I would not have paid the extra money for the pass if I knew that they could just change the rules. I am not happy.

I would call guest services and just let them know how you feel. If enough guests did this, maybe those who purchased prior to the change, could have the option to down grade to a preferred pass.... I know it is a long shot, but I would still let them know how you feel. You purchased in March, it is only June...

When I purchased in March it said one ride on each ride every day after 4 PM. So I am not sure when they changed this, but I thought it was well before March. I have a flier sent to my home in Feb that states that.

On slow days or rides with minimal line, they do not scan the pass. The first time we used it, some of the rides they scanned it and other rides they did not.
 
Just to report. I was there yesterday and they were scanning the pass but didn't stop us from riding more than once on at least The Mummy. Hoping this stays the trend and it will be a very lax rule.

then that means it was in effect when OP purchased his passes..
I was going by OP's post.. I guess this is a case of buyer beware...and read the fine print.. thanks for your info.. I wonder if my niece's friend knows this as well. Her family just upgraded so they could get the after 4 FOTL...

I am happy with my preferred pass.. I had or have no plans on upgrading..

I think it is all what you plan on doing with the pass and the deal you get. The deal I got the Premium only cost $50 extra. We wanted to go to HHN, so that would cost us $30 if we only have premium. Then you get 8 bottles of water, which we always buy water after we run out of what we brought (I drink a ton of water at the parks), so at 2.5 a bottle that is $20. So just by those two things alone I made up the extra cost. Now I also get extra discounts on food & merchandise. So to me the after 4 PM thing was just a bonus along with valet parking.

For me it was well worth it, but if you aren't going to HHN or don't buy bottles of water, it may not be worth it to you. Oh and normally the difference is more than $50.

I was assured that after 4 FOTL was unlimited. That's what I get for believing the Universal agent. I purchased the premium solely for the unlimited FOTL. When we went in April they did not scan the passes but this week they have been scanned each time. I am still not happy.

I think the person you spoke to didn't know what they were talking about. Sorry to hear this. I would try going on a ride again, as some people have reported even though they got scanned they were able to go a second time.
