I understand the promotion for DVC members ends in 4-31. Is there any rush necessary if we never use the water parks? Is there any chance they will discount the regular annual pass.

The regular annual pass is discounted, and a better discount than you get on the PAP.

Remember, DVC members also get discounted admission to the water parks. It's not much, but if you're only going once a year, it's better than getting the PAP.

Is there any reason I should get it now or should I just wait until I go in November? I wouldn't activate it until November anyway?

Current Member Pricing on Annual Passes (excludes limited time promo on PAP that ends 4/30/2014):

Then its like getting a premium pass for a dollar less than a regular pass. I will definitely be calling (Im waiting on member number from resale).

We just bought the PAP. It is definitely worth it if you have Tweens for the Disney Quest admission. Plus it is not subject to some of the blackout dates and restrictions of the AP.

If you have an Annual Pass, and you want to stay at that pass level, when you renew you will pay the then current renewal rate for the Annual Pass.

If you want the PAP at the promo price, you can purchase before 4/30/2014 and receive either an exchange certificate (aka voucher) or will call confirmation which must be converted into an active PAP on or before 1/31/2015.

Thanks for the info. With all the visits you'd think i would have this down by now.

Oh goodness, my head is spinning.
I will be at Disney in September for 8 nights, December for 2 nights (not doing parks) and again in April. Thought I would get the 10 day non expiring but thinking I need the PAP for best discount? Is this correct?
I'm a DVC owner. Do I purchase from UT or from Disney by April 30?
What is even the difference between an AP and PAP?
I will probably be doing 8-9 park days between my 3 trips so this would be worth it, correct?
For my December 2 night trip, it is pre cruise and we are staying at the Contemporary, not DVC. Can I use the PAP for a discount at Contemporary?
Please let me know what I need to do I think I need PAP but have no clue and NEVER read about the PAP or AP since I always get the 10 day non expiring.
THANKS SO MUCH!

If I buy the discounted PAP, when does the year start? Does it expire a year after I purchase it or a year after I first us it? We are not going to WDW until the end of August.

UT does not sell APs. You would need to purchase by calling MS or on-line.
What is even the difference between an AP and PAP?
The AP includes access to the four major theme parks.
The PAP includes the four major theme parks PLUS DisneyQuest, 2 water parks, Oak Trail Golf Course (green fees), ESPNWWOS.

All levels of annual passes have the same discounts for merchandise, dining and the occasional resort discounts.

The current PAP offer expires April 30. $484 + tax. You must call MS to buy it, they will give you a voucher #, you can activate it in September and it will be good for 1 year from activation. I'm not sure what the price for the 10 day non-expiring ticket is this year so you would have to do the math for yourself to see if it's worth it. PAPs will give you admission to waterparks and DisneyQuest and some golf discounts. Yes, you could use it for the AP discount at the Contemporary.

Again, that PAP offer expires in 5 days........

If you want the PAP special, you need to purchase it by calling MS or through the member website before the end of the day on 4/30/14. AP's or PAP's are probably better for 10 or more days, from an expense standpoint. With the PAP, you also get unlimited admission to the water parks and Disney Quest. You can still use the PAP for park admission while staying at the CR. At this point, there may not be any AP discounts published for the CR.

If I buy the discounted PAP, when does the year start? Does it expire a year after I purchase it or a year after I first us it? We are not going to WDW until the end of August.

It expires 1 year after activation. So, if you activate the PAP on 8/15/14, it will be good until 8/15/15.

If you purchase on-line or thru MS, you will receive either an exchange certificate (aka voucher) or will call confirmation number. You then need to exchange for the actual pass once you arrive at WDW and the year begins when the CM hands you the actual pass.

The limited time promo for the PAP at $484 plus tax must be purchased by 4/30/2014 and activated (exchange for actual pass) by 1/31/2015.
