Premier Pass help needed !!!

First of all, many thanks for Disney to give a 2 day notice on the pass increases ! I was all set for the usual Aug increase, and now I see this curve ball thrown at me. Here is my dilemma:

I was planning to buy the Premier passes for my wife and on our 10 year anniversary in July. I looked online, but I can't see if I can but the unactivated pass beforehand. Also since we live in CA, I was going to first use it in DL and then use in in WDW in Aug. If I can buy the pass on the phone or online, can DL activate it? Also can I buy a unactivated pass at DL or will they only sell me a pass that comes preactivated. Since I only have one day left, I am stressing out as I am working non-stop tomorrow and dunno if I can drive over to the park. Any suggestions ?

You can only buy a Premier Pass in person, at the Disneyland ticket booths or WDW Guest Relations. As far as I know, they can only sell you an activated pass.

Since the current pass would cost you the equivalent of $60.23 a month ($722.75 / 12 months), it's not worth buying it a month in advance of when you need it, just to save $50.59 (price increase of $49 plus 3.25% tax).
