Has anyone ever stayed in one?, and more so has anyone stayed in the one's in Chelmsford?. Needing to book for a Wedding and any advice would be great :)

Hi Karen

I haven't stayed in the one in Chelmsford but have stayed in a couple of others elsewhere. The standard is good, just your standard chain hotel but we have always found them to be clean and quiet. Nice cooked breakfast too - always the best part :thumbsup2

I've stayed in quite a few in Stockport and Bristol. They are generally quite good. Rooms tend to be basic but clean and comfortable. You only get basic TV though.

A lot depends on the 'pub' that is usually next door. These tend to be your run-of-the-mill Brewer's Fare/Beefeater type places - some are better than others :)

Also look out for Holiday Inn Express. These tend to be a few quid more than the Premier Travel Inns but the decor etc. is usually a bit more upmarket.
They also tend to have a bar/breakfast room in the hotel.

Thanks for the replies :thumbsup2 , I've looked at many hotels in the vicinity, but it's the cost really that's steering us towards the premier inn, travelling from Cheshire to Chelmsford will cost a fair bit in fuel, and then there's all the other costs such as new outfits, pressies etc....., our DD's are being flower girls too, I'm not tight....., but yes I'am:lmao: :lmao:

We find them especially good value for their family rooms.

We have used them several times when we go for weekend breaks with another family, and usually we get rooms next to each other. We just use them as a base to sleep in they are clean and modern looking. I especially like a bath rather than a shower so they alway get my vote.
