Premier Annual Pass

DH and I also love our premier passes. We just aren't sure if we can justify renewing this year as we won't be in town for that many weeks.

Does anyone know what the cost is to renew as preferred passes (I think that's what the normal no-blackout passes are called)? I'm assuming we would get the renewal rate that normal preferred passholders get to renew.

The renewal for the Preferred is roughly $117.00...I have to renew mine in April. If you decide to go with the Preferred, I would think you could get the renewal rate and the Preferred doesn't have any blackout dates.

I actually just went online to see what the renewal rate for the Preferred annual pass was as ours expires in May when we're down and noticed the full price of the Preferred AP is now $229.99 plus tax ... the full price for the Premier AP is now $289.99 plus tax

I actually just went online to see what the renewal rate for the Preferred annual pass was as ours expires in May when we're down and noticed the full price of the Preferred AP is now $229.99 plus tax ... the full price for the Premier AP is now $289.99 plus tax

I just called Universal and the renewal for the Preferred is $117.14 including tax.

There are not any discounts available anywhere for the Premier Pass (new or renewal). And yes, the prices here are correct.

Premier- $289.99 new, $189.99 renewal
Preferred- $229.99 new, $109.99 renewal

and add tax to all of those prices. (i thought the preferred comes to $117.74 though, wierd they told you $117.14).

While technically true, the renewal is still a much better deal. You are comparing $99 to $109. So for ten dollars more you get free parking for the week, discounts, and not to mention the rest of the year.

not really.
i don't rent a car but use car service.
i do my annual trip in the fall.
if i would do more, i would buy the discounted tickets at another place.
it is a different story for those that go 3 times a year or live locally and go more often.

I'm not going to quibble over 60 cents. When I renew my pass and I find out they made a mistake, so be it.

I doubt it...that's the least expensive AP so I doubt they would offer a cheaper renewal rate but I could be wrong.
