Premeire passport upgrade

Has anyone upgraded a PAP from WDW to a world passport and what was the cost (if you don't mind sharing)? We are in the early stages of planning a huge trip next year which is going to include 3-4 days at DLR then on to Aulani for 9-10 nights. We are trying to figure out if it's more cost effective to purchase tickets or upgrade our passes. Pros and cons to both and while I have family who are Southern CA residents, if we are using a "resident pass" and don't have CA ID, we cannot use tickets they purchase for us if they are not with us

If you're asking about upgrading to the premier (covers both WDW and DL), I have. But it was 3 years ago. The process was pretty easy (upgraded at DCA), but I think you'll have a hard time bridging the cost difference vs just buying DL passes because they bridge the price you paid (not face value) to the list price of the premiere (no discount). I had a group of 9, so the extra discounts of the premiere justified upgrading on AP to a premiere.
