Okay, After weeks of thinking of nothing but Disney, I have my wish list for ADR's. I should be able to sleep tonight without thinking about where to eat 8 months from now!! :dance3:

I guess I need back ups too in case I don't get some. They days are not necessarily in order since park hours are not out for Nov.

Any thoughts or suggestions. Is the DHS day leaving and coming back for Fantasmic realistic?

Day 1 (MK)
Breakfast- The Crystal Palace before park opens
That night MVMCP (assuming they have it this night, they have in past years)

AK Day
Tusker House Breakfast
Hoop Dee Doo Dinner

Epcot Day
Akershus Breakfast
Le Cellier Dinner

DHS Day
Boma for dinner early
Go back for 2nd Fantasmic after Boma.
If they schedule like they did last year, there should be at least 3 nights during our stay with 2 Fantasmic shows. But of course, it could change. If they don't have the 2nd show, I would do Boma later.

Kids Choice Day #1 (Any park)
Ohana Dinner

Kids Choice Day #2 (MK...we know one of them will pick it)
CRT Dinner

What do you think? I am trying to have enough buffets because neither one of my kids eat mac & cheese or PB&J while one does not eat chicken so they are not going to be happy with the TS kids menus at most places. At least at Le Cellier they can get steak and at CRT, they would not care if they were eating Fruit Loops as long as they are in the castle. I am hoping the fish for kids is salmon since my kids love it.

Dining plans after AK close is a good idea, assuming the park closes around 6. As for the Boma/ DHS plan, I do not like leaving the park for transportation to and from AKL. I think if you plan it right, you can do it; but you lose 1 to 1.5 hours in walking/ transportation time with another hour for the meal. My two cents:
Do an early Fantasmic and Boma afterwards or stay at DHS and eat at Yak & Yeti.

Is the DHS day leaving and coming back for Fantasmic realistic? NO...IMHO...agree with PP...TOO much time spent en route that could be spent in Ride/Attraction :goodvibes

Day 1 (MK)
Breakfast- The Crystal Palace before park opens
That night MVMCP (assuming they have it this night, they have in past years):thumbsup2

AK Day
Tusker House Breakfast
Hoop Dee Doo Dinner:thumbsup2 Doing HDDR on my AK day as well May 11th

Epcot Day
Akershus Breakfast:thumbsup2
Le Cellier Dinner:thumbsup2

DHS Day
Boma for dinner early
Go back for 2nd Fantasmic after Boma.

If they don't have the 2nd show, I would do Boma later. I recommend the F! Dinner ADR... get ADR Ressies for H&V BUFFET with the Fantasmic DInner Package...and you'll save a LOT of time in line... THe H&V BUffet gets horrible reviews on here... but has salmon smoked & Baked when I was there last... a great salad buffet....carving station....kids buffet...dessert buffet.....and NO line for Fantasmic....JIMHO.....:cool1:

Kids Choice Day #1 (Any park)
Ohana DinnerLOVE "Ohana but LOVE the Character Breakfast...however would LOVE to try DINNER...but just know the Character interaction with Breakfast is outstanding having been there 4 times....

Kids Choice Day #2 (MK...we know one of them will pick it)
CRT Dinner:lovestruc:lovestruc:lovestruc

Do Boma later...just doesn't work on the DHS day.....

Thanks for the advice. This planning is killing me!!

I am really torn about the Fantasmic thing. I don't want to spend 2 DDPs and neither H&V or MM are places I would pick if it were not for the Fantasmic package. I am still considering it though. MM was my original plan, but then I decided to do CRT and it ate up another of my DDP's. I am already planning to pay for HDD and a CP breakfast OOP.

Unless you have your own car, I echo the difficulty with leaving DHS for a Boma ADR only to return to DHS for Fantasmic, especially since you wont have guaranteed entry so youll need to line up earlier. If its a 2 fantasmic night I would be more inclined to take the boat over to Cape May if your wanting to get away from the park for an ADR with less travel hassel.

Yak & Yeti is not at DHS, it is at AK. If you are going to stay at DHS and eat, eat at Hollywood & Vine (buffet), Sci Fi (fun for kids), or Mama Melrose.

Just an FYI...I really liked Yak & Yeti, but it isn't at DHS - it's in AK.

Hmmmm, maybe I will try a later Boma. I guess it all depends on how they do Fantasmic while we are there and how early they release the schedule.

We will have our car so we could drive if we needed to. I guess that can cut off some time.

One concern was that we can go from DHS to AKL and back on the bus easily. But if we are at Boma at the end of the night and need to get back to the POP, it becomes a more complicated ride.

I don't know where to put Boma in my plan if we do the Fantasmic dinner thing.

Excuse me while I bang me head against my desk for a moment. I appreciate all the advice. I need to figure this one out.

Hi There! Would you consider going to Boma for breakfast instead of dinner?

They are open quite early and the service and food is wonderful. I would have to say that Boma quite possibly has the best breakfast in all of Disney!

Andrea -
Hope this helps...

When we did F! Dining pkg with H&V....it was only ONE table service credit PP... Are you thinking it's two? I just checked the dining plan..and it doesn't appear to have changed.... Are you thinking that F! is two DDP's because you may want to check that...it wasn't when we were there and doesn't appear to have changed...

Hugs,
Mary

I may just do Fantasmic and pay for Tusker oop to save the credit. I just don't know when I would be able to work Boma into my plans. I guess my objection is more having to give up someplace I really want to try, in order to get Fantasmic someplace that is not even on the "maybe" list.

We have 7 nights and are up to 8 "credits" for dinner alone so we were going to do HDD oop since tax & gratuity is included. Plus we have a few character breakfasts on my wish list. I have to give something I really want up to do the Fantasmic dinner thing.

My day one should be MVMCP in the evening and I was planning on doing CS to take advantage of our 1st WDW day ever.

On Epcot day I wanted to eat there since they have great resturaunts and stay for Illuminations.

On AK day, I wanted to do HDD

I wanted to hit Ohana on our next to last day. I am 95% sure that my kids will want to go back to Epcot or MK over the other parks and it's on the monorail and we can watch wishes.

Our last day I will try to get CRT.

So the only dinner night left is DHS night. <sigh> I was trying to avoid hopping so that I can save that $200 for other things like HDD and souvenirs.

Boma sounded really interesting.

Maybe we can not try for Le Cellier and do CS that night. But with all the "kid" breakfasts, some more adult meals would be nice.

Is getting the Fantasmic package worth giving up a night at someplace I hear great things about here like HDD, Boma or CRT? :confused3

It it worth paying OOP for?

I have never been so I really don't know.

If I keep adding TS meals, we are going to need to upgrade to DxDDP! Now that is not in my budget!

But I will take the advice to heart. I have no idea how Disney Transportation runs or how the parking lots are or how far the parks are from the resorts so you guys are more aware of the feasibility of doing certain things than I am.

For DHS day I would do a Fantasmic dinner pkg! Mama Mellrose would be a good choice!:cheer2:

I know you really want to do Boma (it's so hard to get everything you want in...), but consider going to the boardwalk area for dinner that night. You can take the boat or walk, and there are tons of places to eat there (Beaches and cream, ESPN club, Big River Grill, Kouzzina, Cape May, Flying Fish). Then you could go back to DHS fairly easily, and catch the bus back to POP when you are ready to leave. Or do Boma on your AK day, and a late HDDR on your DHS day after early Fantasmic.

My 2 cents about your DHS day... on our Dec 09 trip we were at DHS just after rope drop, rode a bunch of things inc. TSM then we left for DTD. We went shopping and had dinner there then went to our hotel,CR to drop of purchases and back to DTD with lots of time to see F!, ride TSM again and see the Osbourne lights

So if it is something you really wanna do then get to the park early and maybe do a late lunch at Boma and then head back to the park

I never thought of doing HDD after Fantasmic. I guess they are kind of early in November since it gets dark earlier. Hmmm.

Hey Andrea;

Would this work?

Get the F! Dinner PKG OOP........(It will be $90 for MM or $82 for H&V with 2 Adults/2 kids)

...and "Save" the Dining credits for Boma or HDD?

Hugs,
Mary

I don't think they have lunch at Boma. Also the AKL is a bit out of the way, so I would try and do it the same day as your AK day.

You could take a boat from the Boardwalk or Beach Club if you want to go to Fantasmic after or before dinner in Epcot, the WS part of Epcot and DHS are pretty close. We prefer dinner in Epcot over other places in DW.

Good Luck!

I don't have much to add except I am choosing not to do the F! package as you still need to line up an hour early and I don't really want to eat at any of the restaurants offered. I would rather eat QS that night and get in the stand by line 90 min early. It was too much work to fit it in my schedule this trip so I just skipped it all together.

I'd do Boma on your AK day.

Then either do Hoop de do on your DHS day and skip fantasmic or my choice would be to do a DHS TS reservation on your day there. A sci fi/primetime lunch then just queue for fantasmic or a fantasmic reservation.

I was a first timer last year planning a 14 night trip for first two weeks of December. We didn't have hoppers.

Best thing I did was plan our dining at or near the park for the day. Travelling took so much time eg we had a 4.30 reservation at Raglan road (downtown disney) and only just made spectro in MK at 7pm.

Also if you are going at a less busy time, you will get in fantasmic etc without a package reservation as long as you get there early.

I'd taken so much notice of the boards that we got there so early for the candlelight processional that people were still arriving for the show before. Totally confused the cm!
