Has anyone ever visited Dw when they are about 7 mos along? I am asking because my trip is in Sept and I think I may be pregnant.Don't want ot cancel our trip because we promised dd4 and really can't schedule it any sooner...please help.

I went when I was 34/35 weeks along with my third. It was May so it was warm but not unbearable. I had no issues, walked the whole time(pushing a stroller) and still had a good time. I couldn't ride my favorite rides, but still magical. We had booked at Disney Cruise for our 10yr anniv. and the found out we were pg. I guess you aren't allowed on the boat if you are very pg. So we switched it over to a week at WDW and took the kids and my mom to help. My OB was fine with it. I didn't have any pg complications, and a cervix of steel:rotfl2:

I went in June and delivered in Aug. I was already starting to dialate so my dr wanted me in a wheelchair for the trip....yeah right. How was dh going to push me and ds #1 in a stroller? We just took it slow and I had no problems. Like pp said I could not ride some of the rides but niether could ds so it was ok. I still had a blast! As long as your ob is ok with it then I think you will be fine.

Um, I thought you couldn't fly after 32 or 36 weeks pregnant? So how did ya'll get there so late in your pregnancies?

We drove, but I have flown while pg with my others. I can't remember exactly what week it was but I was 8mos with my first flying into Chicago, so maybe a 1 1/2hr flight? I had a dr's note saying I was cleared for travel.

I am going to be 7 months pregnant when we go in April. I am taking the grandparents to help with our 3 year old. I'm not sure if I will able to go commando at the parks all day. We are staying at Wilderness and I plan on taking a nap with my daughter mid-day. We'll see if that works. She may be too excited to sleep. Can anyone recommend any tips on staying comfortable? I've read about women wearing pregnancy belts to help with support, anything else?

I went at 31/32 weeks in September and it was an awesome trip. I took it slow - we enjoyed the water parks - and everything else. It was a real eye opener for me since I had never went with a small child before of why it's a "family" park. There really were very few things I couldn't do. As long as your doctor okays it I'd say go and enjoy it. It will be a very special trip for your 4 year old before baby brother/sister arrives.

I was about 6 months pregnant on one of our trips; I was considered high risk, but my doctor still wasn't worried about it. However, I didn't take it easy enough and overheated and collapsed at AK one afternoon. They actually called the paramedics, who showed up quickly. They told me to stay in a wheelchair for the rest of the trip. All but one day, I used one of those motorized scooters and it went just fine. (They were out of the motorized ones one day and DH had to push me. I was pretty embarrassed, to say the least.) We still had a wonderful trip, despite the one really scary moment.

I felt like there was a fair amount I couldn't do, but not so much as to ruin the trip. The only thing that I did that they tell you not to do while pregnant was the Kilimanjaro Safari, which I didn't think was bad at all. I did spend some time in gift shops or just sitting around people watching while DH went on rides I couldn't go on.

I'd say just go with what your doctor says. If he/she gives you the go ahead, then go and enjoy.

I was 7 months pregnant with our second child when we went to WDW this past Sept. If you plan on walking for exercise throughout your pregnancy, then I don't think going will be a problem. We spent the whole day out of the hotel and did a lot of walking. Even if you go back to your hotel, for a break during the day, you will still be doing a lot of walking. I rode almost all of the rides that my DD was interested in (i.e., Dumbo, Peter Pan, Pooh, etc..) and we had a GREAT time!!!!
Also, keep in mind that it is still HOT in WDW in Sept. Bring a big bottle of frozen water into the parks w/ you and keep refilling throughout the day.
Have fun on your trip. Sounds like this will probably be your last trip with just one child, so enjoy it. Life is a lot different w/ 2. :)

Thanks everyone...I walk alot now ( like 5 mi) a day for exercise and will continue to do this throughout my pregnancy...I was planning on taking it easy anyway ( went commando last couple trips and it took forever to recoup.)plus with dd4 we will need to go slower.

I know Delta doesn't have any restrictions for pregnant flying....you can fly at 40 weeks, according to their website.

I was 9 months pregnant when I went last June and had an amazing time! We did go to the parks from open until close, and I did walk...but I also had a 21 month old....so it wasn't running all over the park.

My very 1st time to WDW I was 8 months along. And I flew;and I just paced myself. I ate everything and slept in and had a great time!

just be sure to check with your airline and your ob. Aside from that take it easy and have fun.

Many airlines "request" that you not fly in your last 2 weeks or so but I don't know of any with a hard and fast rule.

Something that really helped me out was during afternoon breaks, I would take a nice warm (not hot, of course!) bath. It would ease my legs and back from all the walking so I was ready to go again!:thumbsup2 And lots and lots of water...stay hydrated!
