So my wife is about 1 month pregnant. (Havent gone to a doctor yet, still getting our insurance worked out) And we are wondering with only being 1 month along, would rides like Space Mountain be out of the question for her?

As someone who's been pg twice, I wouldn't go on anything. . . fun. Is there any way you can talk to your doctor, though, and make sure before you go to the park? I know I can leave a message with my question and my doctor will call me back.

I would definatly check with your dr...a quick phone call is worth peace of mind!

My DH & i went to Vegas, I had no clue I was pregnant, I was probably 3-4 weeks along. We went on the New York, New York roller coaster (I am NOT a coaster person...scared me!!) and she is just fine, well, other than LOVING thrill rides! :rotfl:

How funny! I think you going on that ride with her in your belly gave her the love for thrill!! It starts in the womb! There's proof right there!

Yep...we call her our Roller Coaster baby...she is so excited to go on all the "scary" rides, my older DD and I will *maybe* go on them...we are trying to talk ourselves into them!!

While I wholeheartedly agree that they post the warnings and have restrictions for a reason, you should ALWAYS consult your Dr. We took our first Disneyland trip 2 years ago I was 2 months pregnant and got the okay from the Dr to ride the rides. He advised me to be careful with real "jerky" or jarring rides and coasters (which is hard to determine until you actually ride on them and I probably should have sat out on a few) he was more concerned about me being tired and wearing myself out.

Not only did we do DL and DCA, but we did Knotts, Six Flags and Universal too....and again, I did EVERYTHING. While some may disagree and this could be a sensitive topic its always important to consult with your Dr., which I did.

We had a great time btw...going again in Oct. with the very little guy I was pregnant with at the time. ;)
