pregnant with IUI?

just found out a good friend of mine has been trying to get pg for a long time now and they have moved on to IUI. I was wondering if anyone has had luck this way? I feel so bad for them.

Three year old DD is the result of clomid and IUI, first round of IUI after 5 previous rounds of just clomid.

My DD was a result of IUI. My DH and I laugh because he wasn't even there when she was concieved. My DS was a nice surprise!! Hope your friend has the same luck.

I've had success with IUI. After 12 months TTC, 1 Clomid cycle coupled with IUI gave us our beautiful DS.

My mom's friend got pregnant with both of her kids via IUI, as did one of my DH's friends wives. In all cases, I think that it was successful within the first few tries.

I have PCOS, and cannot get pregnant on my own. Clomid is no help at all for me, so infertility dr. put me on "super ovulation." Daily injections and ultrasounds, with IUI at the end of the cycle. Tried once, no luck, next month pregnant with my now DD8. 2 years later tried once, got pregnant with my now DS6. 2 years later tried once, got pregnant with my twin DD's, now 3. There's nothing wrong with IUI, except it's not as romantic as the "normal" way of conceiving a child.

A good friend of mine is expecting twins after IUI. Her hubby had testicular cancer when he was very young. They were fortunate to get pregnant on the second attempt at fertilization.

My DS6 is a product of artificial insemination (sort of). We were on our 5th try of this (insurance paid for 6 tries). I went in to check the eggs (I had 6 eggs) and to do the insemination. Well, turns out I had already ovulated so we decided not to waste one of my tries that insurance would pay for to go ahead with the insemination. Well, turns out that is the month I got pregnant. (After 2-1/2 years of trying). Boy, was hubby nervous at the first ultrasound - just thinking that there could have been 6 babies... My DD4 was conceived naturally after only 3 months of trying.
