Anyone been to Disney while pregnant? My husband and I planned a trip for this October and I will be about 17 weeks pregnant. I am considering cancelling the trip. We do not have any children so it would be just us.
Any feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Nicole

If you are going to be out of the first trimester its no biggie. . .just check with your doctor and make sure everything is fine. However, I would not do the rollercoasters with warnings. . .anything else would be okay. However, if roller coasters are a must, then I would take a cruise instead. . .lol. . .or something else for vacation that suits your fancy. . .

This will be my 3rd time pregnant in Disney. In fact, I will be 18 weeks for this upcoming trip. I was also 18 weeks for my 2006 trip.

I wouldn't cancel! I had a great time. There is still so much you can do! If DH doesn't mind riding some things alone, it gives you a nice break to sit down for a minute. Plus, this is your first baby, and I don't know if you have morning sickness or not (I did, bad!)....but come 17 weeks...food is good! Especially the food in Disney that they prepare for you! Especially all you can eat buffets!!:lmao:

Just make sure you drink plenty of water, take a rest in the middle of the day (I found a warm bath relaxed my legs and back so I was refreshed for the evening), and don't push it. It's just you and hubby. Take your time and enjoy! I have never regretted going to WDW pregnant (although I cry twice as much as I usually would)! If you have any questions, feel free to ask or PM me!

Also, you should check out our Moms-to-Be thread on the community board!

I was about 18 weeks with DD#1 when DH and I went. It was DH's first trip and we had planned it before I got pg. It was still fun. I would just wait in line with him and then take the chicken exit on most of the thrill rides. This was in 1997 and I don't remember the FPs being around, if they were I didn't know about them and so we just waited in a lot of lines I recall. But we still had fun and brought home some cute Disney things for baby of course!

I was about 4 mos along w/DS2 when my parents wanted to take DS1 to Disney. The only thing I didn't like was going up and down and up and down on Dumbo. Couldn't get DS1 to go without me. We all had a great time. Didn't stop me from doing anything.
