My husband and I are planning a short trip to orlando in September. I want to go back to WDW, but he really doesn't want to go back there (again!).
We went to Universal once 3 years ago. I know it has been a while, so a lot may have changed. Honestly, I wasn't that impressed. Yes, the big ticket rides were very good, (mummy, dueling dragons, shreck) but I found it to be dirty and the hordes of obnoxious, barely dressed teenagers smoking everywhere were a real turn off.
But I am willing to give it another try- and I am definately going to make a trip when the finish the Harry Potter attractions next year. The thing is, I will be 7 or 8 months pregnant when we go to Orlando this fall, and I'm not sure if I will be able to go on any of the rides. I don't know if it's just my memory because we only went on the big roller coasters, or if that really is all you can do there. I also know that sometimes a ride might seem like it is ok for expectant mothers, but you get there and they have an advisory against it, (shreck may be this way: it's jsut a movie, but all of the bouncing in the seats is probably not okay). ANyway, has anyone ever gone to these parks while pregnant? Does anyone know where I can get accuarte information about the attractions that are safe for expectant moms? THanks for the help- if we don't go to Universal we will probably end up at Sea World, which seems like it will be more fun after my kid is 2 or 3).

At 8 months pregnant I am not sure what u can actually be able to ride...

Shrek as stationary seats, Poseidon fury at IOA is standing and anybody can go thru if u are not afraid of the dark or loud noises..

At 8 months pregnant I dont think u can do much and that goes for any theme park.... Seaworld isn ride based so thats a good place to be.

you should be checking with your doctor and not us on what rides you will physically be able to do when you are 8 months pregnant.

in all the years since Universal opened, i have never seen what you posted about a dirty park where obnoxious barely dressed teens smoking everywhere.

(your statement of: found it to be dirty and the hordes of obnoxious, barely dressed teenagers smoking everywhere were a real turn off.)

not everything at universal are coasters.
check the interactive map on the universal website to find what you are interested in doing. then ask your doctor are you allowed to participate in them based on being 8 months pregnant.

I don't want to seem mean but like Macraven I was there 3 years ago and been going regularly for the past few years and have never seen a dirty park cause it has always been imaculately clean and no teenagers running around smoking and have never run into rude people like at other theme parks and I too would suggest you talk to your doctor and find out what you can ride
