We are going to DL and I will 4 months pregnant at the time. Has anyone done DL when they were pregnant?

My friend did, you can basically go on anything that does not have a height restriction, or health restriction (more then likely Soar'n would be the only possible exception to the height restriction rule). Suprisingly that is a lot of rides. POTC, HM, FL, JC and more.

Take it easy, rest when you need to and drink lots of water. You will still have fun.

When we went in March of 06 my sister was pregnant ~ had her DS that Sept. She couldn't go on anything my DD (not quite 3 at the time) couldn't go on, so that worked out pretty well. They're heading back this Sept. and I think they're working on baby #2 ~ so we'll see when she's in DL and not pregnant :lmao:

I went to DL when I was pregnant with my last child, in fact that was where we told our other children that we were having another. My oldest, who was 15 at the time, said she knew I was pregnant when I wouldn't go on Indiana Jones. I didn't really feel like riding very much since I didn't feel that great, so I enjoyed watching everyone else have fun.

I will be almost 7 months pregnant during our trip next month. We have 2 little ones, and I plan on storing a seat cushion in the stroller for breaks, and staying hydrated. We're staying across the street, so I can take a break if need be.

I have been to Disneyland pregnant as well... however, I also had a 10 month old at the time. It worked out perfect because we were able to ride all of the rides together. It can really work out great, allowing you more time to just ENJOY Disneyland and not worry about waiting in many of the long lines for the "thrill" rides. Have a great time... and just think of all the great things that you child will enjoy when he/she comes along. Congratulations!!!

I love the rides so i don't think i would pay all that money to go to disneyland and not be able to go one rides. Thats like they had a GREAT crusie and stay deal... but i didn't want to do cause i'm pregnant lol (everyone must suffer  lol j.k)...... But if i had an AP i would probley go casue i would know i could return anytime to ride and everything...

We were Premium AP holders the entire time I was pregnant with my first (bought them about 3 weeks before I found out) and we went to DL probably 5 times from the time I was 2 months pregnant until I was 8 months along, and also spent a week at WDW when I was 4 months along.

Personally, I was more sad to miss out on rides at WDW than anything at DL because there are really only 4-5 that you need to skip (mainly the mountains).

We documented my pregnancy with pictures with Mickey every trip so that you see how my belly grew as the pregnancy progressed. I even bought mouse ears on our first trip back after I found out I was pregnant and had DS's pre-natal nickname (from before we knew whether we were having a boy or a girl) embroidered on the back. They now live on a shelf in my office, and DS got his first pair with his name on them for his first trip when he was 7 weeks old!

Anyhow, my advice is to go and have fun, but take things at your own pace. I also would recommend NOT making any PS reservations as you will want to eat when you are hungry and having a PS can really mess that up! We had PS one day for BB with friends who were visiting from Michigan and I nearly died of hunger waiting for lunch time to arrive. On the other hand, being pregnant at Disney is an excuse to eat ANYTHING you want!

Oh yeah... one more thing, while Croc's are fabulous Disney footwear any time, they are a pregnant woman's best friend both in the parks and in your every day life!

I was just there over Easter and I was 4 months pregnant and I am going back at the beginning of May I will be 6 months. I had a blast there are rides you can not do but I was the family desiginated Fastpass runner or as they called me the waddler. I got a ton of walking in. I would say the only problem is my feet swelled up, but I was up on them for 15 hours, I think that was pushing it. :rotfl2:

My reccomendations:
  • Rent a locker it help take the load off.
  • Take a belly picture in front of the castle
  • Take a break
  • Eat when you are hungry, do not try to wait it only made me grumpy.
  • Get a large cup of ice at the counter serves and fill it at the water fountains. I got so tired of drinking bottled water.
  • Always find a place to sit, even early in the day when you have energy because come the end of the day you will wish you had.

Have FUN!!! :cheer2:

OOOH Thanks for the tips! I never really thought about taking a belly shot infront of the castle! How silly of me never to think of that :thumbsup2 I am 5 months along right now and will be 7 when I get there. :thumbsup2

I know im gonna be taking it easy, dad said he will carry a small back pack for me and Ive already got a list of the things I want to eat! LOL so when everyone goes on rides im gonna be munching while wandering and seeing the park entertainers hehehe!

I will be 26 weeks when my DH and I go next week! I've been to DL once before and WDW many times, so I know what to avoid. The only rides I am really going to miss are Indiana Jones, Space Mtn. and Cali Screamin'. Since my DH has never been to DL, I want him to ride those three rides, so I think I am maybe going to wait in line with him (and then duck out at the "chicken exit") just to shock everyone else in line.

The one ride I will do no matter what is Soarin'. I don't think this ride is bad for pregnant women, unless you are early on and have morning sickness.

I plan on getting a Baby's first Christmas ornament and mickey ears with her name embroidered and pictures with some characters! I am so excited!!

Have fun!!!

I know the feeling those are a few of my fav rides as well. I will miss those this trip. Too funny that I had planned the same thing for putting my new babies name on it.

We had a trip all planned to go and then I found out I was pg. My oldest was 8 and my youngest was 10 months. When we went I was about 2 months and right at the awful morning sickness stage. I went mostly on the tame stuff but the only "big" thing I went on was splash. Some probably would say not to but I figured the only bad part was the drop but I didn't think it was that big of a deal. I didn't go on anything that jerked you around though like Indy, matterhorn or anything like that. I did go on things like pirates, haunted mansion stuff like that. If I were farther along I probably would not have gone on anything that moved around too much but even splah I felt was ok that early on. But I think it is up to you as to what you feel is safe.

For me it was mostly the sickness part that I was worried about and I did surprisngly ok. And now my daughter is 7 and a true disney fanatic herself and I always tell her her first real trip was before she was even born ;)

The one I missed was Splash Mountain :sad2: but I did enjoy what we did. As for waiting in line I think that is a great idea (if you are not running all over the park getting fastpasses), except on Cali Screamin have your DH use the Single rider line, it really helps because you can stand in the shade and watch him and then go take pictures of him during the count down.

I did Soarin twice, the only problems I see is if you are close to poping, I think it would be terrible to have your water break on that ride!! :scared1:

I am hoping to know if we are having a girl or boy before we go so I can get the baby some ears.

I just went last month and I was 4 months pregnant.

Rides that I avoided:
Splash Mountain
Matterhorn
Space Mountain
Indiana Jones

Rides that I did:
Pirates of the Caribbean
Buzz Lightyear
Roger Rabbit
Soarin
All the kiddie rides

My Dr. said to avoid only the rides that had warnings on them, so that's what I did.

I did find that I was a lot more tired going while I was pregnant than while I wasn't, but it was still worth it!
