Pregnant at Disney

We leave on April 17 for a 10 day vacation to the Pop century. We go to Disney every year. This trip I will be 25 weeks pregnant with our daughter. We also have a 2 1/2 year old son. Any tips on doing disney pregnant. I am just a little nervous about the heat and walking. We are renting a car. Thanks!

I'm leaving for a trip on the 16th and I'm also 25 weeks :o)

I just got back from being at MK last week with my DH and DS - 4yrs old. I am 28 weeks pg. The weather was perfect and not over 80 degrees. I wore comfortable running shoes, but still ended up with blisters. But made it all day in them - and the blisters were not bad at all.

We went to the park in the morning and left for nap time in the afternoon and went back at night - in the end we ended up being there for over 10 hours. I think leaving the park was the best advice I took from the Unofficial Guide. It was a break for everyone.

Drink lots of water. Surprisingly I was not swolen at all at the end of the day.

If we were doing multiple parks for multiple days, I think that I would have needed more of a break - probably could do a 10 hour day followed by a 5 hour day, then another 10 hour day.

good luck and have so much fun.

I went when I was 6 months pregnant in October 2008. It was quite hot the week we were there but I really made sure I drank lots of water and kept in the shade. Also, sit down when you can, all that walking made me really nervous but DH was very understanding. Congrats and have fun!

I have been pregnant during my last two trips. Last April, was about five 1/2 months pregnant and my daughter was 2 1/2. I ate a LOT of snacks (I needed a lot of protein) and I slept every afternoon. It was an awesome trip. Hope you have a blast!

I went in March 2008 (6 months at the time). It was our daughters surprise "last only child" vacation during spring break.

I love it and was able to truly just enjoy watching them have a good time. I am so glad that I did it. We took alot of breaks along the way, and I drank plenty of water and fluids. I actually made it through a full day at MK, and to me honest, I was soooooo tired, but it was worth it. I remember getting on the boat going back to the parking lot, laying on my husbands shoulder. HE said, you did good! :woohoo: I did! :yay: Was I tired? Of course and I slept so well that night, so much so, I though that someone was pulling the covers :rotfl::rotfl2: I guess it was a ghost :confused3 We stayed in the Pop Century and my dh and dd stayed in one bed and I stayed in the other. I guess I was too big LOL.

Go and have a wonderful time. My Dr said that he thought it was a good idea because of the walking, etc. He did also tell me to take a half of a baby aspirin before I get on the plane both ways. He said that it was because of possible blood clots, etc. I did that and all was well. Problem was I spent money on a whole bottle that I only used 1 out of :o).

Have fun!! Take plenty of pics, you will love it.

During my pregnancies I was always somewhat nausiated the entire time. I did notice that walking more seemed to help this and always enjoyed the Disney trips while pregnant. Also being distracted and busy helps. Anyway for water I ordered cases of bottled water from the one of the grocery delivery places and always had it on hand. On the last trip I was fortunate to stay at the Swan and Dolphin on points and just ordered room service every morning for breakfast. It was much easier and quicker than trying to feed the two little ones at a restaurant. At the POP you don't get this, but I would make sure you get a good breakfast every morning, maybe even by yourself if you find that you spend more time feeding the other one than eating yourself.

Hope you have a great trip.

Thanks for all the great tips! Keep them coming!! We leave on Saturday! I have my Ob appointment tomorrow to go over everything with the doc!
