Pregnant at Disney

We booked our DVC vacation for next May. I just found out that I am pregnant and if all goes well I would be 33 weeks when we go. We have been to Disney lots of times so I am not worried about not being able to take things much slower this time around. We have a 4 year old and 2 year old. The selfish side of me says if we move the vacation up we won't be able to get the dining we want because it would be less than the 180 days. I really want to take the girls to Cinderella's Castle this time. Then the worried part of me is afraid I would have an early labor. We would be flying in from NY, so not too long of a flight.

Has anyone experienced being that pregnant at Disney. What are your thoughts?

Thanks!

If you are 33 weeks pregnant with your 3rd baby, I say move your vacation. I just had my 3rd and though I didn't deliver early, you never know. Try calling for some ADRs and see how it goes.

In May it's H-O-T! You'll be exhausted and overwhelmed by the heat. Add in two other children and you've got a bad mix.

I'm not trying to scare you, just give you a real expectation. I was only 5 months pregnant when we went last May and the heat was insane. I can't imagine being 33 weeks and doing it.

Good Luck!

I went last December at 35 weeks with my third. I would have liked to go sooner, but my school schedule and DH's work schedule just didn't allow it. But we had a fantastic time and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I brought a note from my midwife for the airline, but they never asked for anything.

If the dining is the only thing holding you back, I'd say move the trip up a little bit. I'm sure you will still be able to get some great ADRs.
Oh, and I agree with the PP- May is really hot. Being hot and pg don't mix ;)

Thanks so much. I didn't think about the heat. I hate the heat to begin with. Let me call around and see what is available and maybe we can move it up a couple of months.

Can't you not fly after 7 months of pregnancy? And require dr's proof of due date? With my third I gave birth at 36 weeks. Cutting it close, don't you think? I would be worried about the heat and being on my feet for so long at 33 weeks.

We went 5 weeks ago when I was 27 weeks. It is my third pregnancy as well. I had two easy first pregnancies. This one has been easy until Monday now that I am 32weeks. The trip was great, but it was tougher walking around in the Sept heat. We went without the kids, so it made it much easier without the stress of two little ones that can get cranky in the heat.
I have had no problems until Monday when I starting contracting every 5 minutes for no apparent reason. Thankfully they stopped but with pregnancy you never know. I'm glad we went when we did, as the further you get along the tougher it is and the higher the risks. If you can move it up, and avoid the extra stress.

you have to check with your airline also, some will not allow flight in your 3rd trimester. Good Luck.

With my third I ended up on bedrest at 32 weeks. I don't know if I would chance it that close! Plus, I was jus there at 10 weeks pregnant and I was tired! I can't imagine walking around at 33 weeks! What ever you decide, have fun!

I am 33 wks pregnant right now and I cant imagine going to Disney at this stage. I would move the vacation back. What if you go early? I would talk it over with your husband and physician and then make your decision. You know whats best for yourself.
