Me and my DH are going to DW in july 2005. I will be pregnant in late first trimester/ early 2nd tri. Does anyone have any tips for pregnancy in the World? Also does anyone know of any rides I won't be able to ride? Will I be able to ride the new Soarin' ride? Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Drink lots, take a mid day rest & enjoy your tour of the WDW restrooms! I was there in Dec at 13 weeks. I didn't do the following:
Star Tours
BTRRM
SM
TOT
RNR
PW
Dinosaur
Teacups
MS
Speedway car things in MK
I did ride TT but wouldn't do it again. I couldn't enjoy myself as I was constantly bracing myself. I omitted anything that spun or used motion simulators as they made me incredibly nauseous. I did ride SM, kilimanjaro safaris (seats at front are less bouncy) & kali river rapids with no problems. At the end of the day, you need to decide whether you follow all the signs or use a bit of common sense (especially if you've experienced the rides before). I had no complications & this wasn't my first pregnancy, but if neither of this were true I'm sure I would be extra cautious & stick to stationary type things & simple kiddie type rides. I still thoroughly enjoyed my trip & noticed & enjoyed things I would have otherwise missed whilst I was waiting for DH & DD to come off the headliner rides. I often queued with them & then took the chicken exit, although i wish there was a t-shirt that said "I'm not chicken...I'm pregnant"!

Scary as this may sound, I was 11 weeks pregnant when we were at wdw in dec and didn't know!!!! I went on all the rides except mission space and raceway, was feeling kinda woozy and the cm said motion sickness then don't ride..... So go on as many rides as you can, as long as you're feeling well, and stay away from the ones that warned of motion sickness!

Have a great time and congratulations!!!

You will have a great time. Having done Soarin' in DL my guess is that you will be able to go on that. The actual seats move very little and rather smooth to complete the flying illusion - however - beware if you have nausea. You have a little "elevator stomach" and they spray scents into the air... ie: citrus smell when you are going over orange groves etc. I know smell was a big pregnacy issue for me!

As the previous posts state there will be plenty you should not go on - but there are so many wonderful things to do that are not thrill rides - or even rides for that matter. For example: Plan a day to really explore all the nooks and crannies of World Showcase...

Like catch the woman in Japan that makes animals out of candy, her name is Miyuki, she stands in front of the Mitsukoshi building. If you get there about 10 or 15 minutes before she is scheduled to arrive and hang out right in front of her booth, you will be sure to get a free "lollipop". She's amazing and worth the wait to watch her do this. Check out the tin toy museum in the way back - pretty cool.

Enter and enjoy browsing the shops inside the pavilion while enjoying the AC - set up like an outdoor market - while there go the back and do the ride - not exactly a thrill ride (so this one will be fine, with no wait)

Catch The British Invasion in Britian. A Beatle knock off band that are a blast! They perform in the Gazebo in the back in the afternoons.

In Germany: Stick around for the top of the hour. If you stand facing the Cuckoo Clock, it chimes and the characters on the clock come out. Train garden is fun to peek at, Oktoberfest dinner show held inside the Biergarten.

Grab a table in St Marco's square in Italy and enjoy a beverage...after 5 minutes you'll believe you're actually there! Live performers will gather and put on a play right in front of you.

Check the entertainment schedule they hand out with the maps for times of appearences so you can plan your day. And it goes without saying that you can snack as you go! Norway bakery counter service rice cream, cinnamon rolls , Bakery in France good ham and cheese croissants, Canada: Trapper Bob's Beavertails are fried dough like a beaver's tail. They come with your choice of many toppings: apples and cinnamon etc.

It took me years to take the time to "discover" all of these things...and now I never miss them. They are truley part of what makes the magic.

Good Luck - Have fun :wave2:
