Pregnancy surprise help needed fast!!! Update Post #51 and #95!

I love the idea of the diver at Coral Reef!
Congratulations!

Ok, I just emailed Debbi @ Coral Reef to find out if it's a possibility or not. Hopefully she will let me know tomorrow. Guess I better have a back-up plan.

I like the idea of the pacifier, but my youngest son might think it's for him.:rotfl:
The proposal is cute, but a little too much center of attention for me. He loves it, me not as much.:rotfl2:

Maybe I will buy baby ears or onesie to have a character give to him.....

AAAAHHHHH! Not enough time to plan!

You can write "Im a big brother" on your ds diaper and make dh change him so he can see it.

Or go out and get a "big brother" shirt and have the 1 yr old wear it.

It'll be fun to see how long it will take for him to catch on to it :)

Ok...I posted earlier about getting a character to hold up a sign and I will add to that...maybe the character could give dh a gift (wrapped gift or gift bag with a paci in it maybe??) instead of holding up a sign. Anyways, I wanted to say that my initial reaction when I read your original post was to say the "Coral reef diver" however since I have have done lots of research on this and actually already reserved this for my son's b'day...I knew it was a long shot so I didn't mention it b/c you are leaving tomorrow. I am SOOOO excited that you called Debbie and I am praying that it will work out at the last minute. If it does...count your blessings...and I am praying lots of fairy dust and good luck will bring that Diver along...that would definitely be the BEST way to suprise DH. Do you have a ressie at CReef already?? You know, even if you can't get the diver, you could do the personalized menu if you can email some pics to Debbie (maybe of the positive pregnancy test??) before you leave tomorrow. I can't wait to hear what Debbie can work out! She's great!! I have a good feeling about this!! Anyways, I'm getting way too excited but I guess I am living vicariously through you...ha!! Keep us posted!

How about a card made with a Dumbo like theme...

From Heaven Up Above
Here is a baby for you to love

or something like that...when I think of new babies and Disney I always think of Dumbo first

I have to say if the coral reef thing is not an option the PP that said putting the 1st Time button on belly would definitely be cute, I am sure if you are wearing a giant button on your shirt in front of your belly your husband would ask what in the world you have that on, esp, if you have been to disney before.

What about getting two mickey ear hats and see if they will write big brother #1, Big Brother #2, or finding shirts down there that say I'm going to be a big brother.

If it were me, I think I would write "Big bro to be" on my youngest diaper and have him change it. You get two things out of this - a cute way to tell DH about you being pregnant (congrats by the way!!!) and you get out of having to change a diaper!!!
Also, since your other kids will be on the vacation as well, you might want to include them in on the suprise. Make if fun for them too!

Congratulations! :cloud9: One thing to consider is if you really want to tell your kids this early. I miscarried before DD5 was born, and she was a high risk pregnancy and was born 6 weeks early. We didn't tell DD8 (who was not quite 3 when we found out I was pregnant) until the first trimester had passed in case I miscarried again. I don't mean to put a damper on your joy, so plesae don't take it that way, but little kids have a hard time understanding when things don't go as planned. Since you have a history of high risk pregnancies, I just bring it up as a consideration in case you wanted to consider a more private announcment for your husband.

Best of luck! We will keep you in our prayers that you have an uneventful and joyous pregnancy!

Thank you all for your good wishes and suggestions!!! I am so excited to tell him! It's hard keeping it a secret!

with a well packed pregnancy test on our 5th anniversary. I looked everywhere on that day for little booties which were not in any store. I ended up sticking the test in my purse (eww) and then surprising him in Citricos during our anniversary dinner. Now that I have visited since then, if you go in the baby changing station they have tiny Mickey socks in the baby care stations that would have been a perfect way to tell him.

Have the waiter/waitress bring his beer (or whatever he is drinking) in a baby bottle.

What if you told him he needs to wear a specil shirt you made for him and have it say Like proud " Daddy of baby # ? " then you could wear a shirt with something like " New Disney Fanatic in the making ". if you want something more subtle maybe when you are seated at a rest ask for a table for say 4 1/4 and see if he catches on to it. One thing a friend of mine did was tie baby booties to a helium balloon and put it in a box so when the lid was pulled off the balloon floated up and Surpise.. baby booties!! Peprmint candies work great on sick tummys also, plus they are easy to carry in the parks with you :) Congrats on you new bundle of joy. Wishing it was me but maybe someday soon !

After heading to the airport at 9:00 this morning (we were flying stand-by on buddy passes for the first time) for a 10:50 flight, we finally got to Orlando at 5:15 (after 6 hours in the airport :scared1: ) and to our room at 7:30. It has been very hard to hide the nausea and exhaustion from my husband! I'm still trying to figure out which idea I will use.

I LOVE the Coral Reef idea or the one of the character giving him something, maybe Baby Mickey Ears...has to be something Disney related! That is so awesome, I can't wait to hear what you do! Congratulations!:wizard:
