Hi!! So I recently found out I am 10 weeks pregnant! We're surprising my 2.5 year old daughter with a trip to WDW over Thanksgiving so I was thinking of taking pregnancy announcement pictures at WDW, incorporating my DD as the "big sister" and putting the pic in Christmas cards to reveal it to everyone.

I'm definitely going to buy a "big sister" shirt for DD to wear but I need ideas for the actual pictures. Are there people I can talk with to get characters incorporated? What locations would you think would be most magical? Any other props I should bring? I wanna have fun with it! Brainstorm ideas with me! :-). This will most likely be my last baby so I want to announce him/her in a special way.

TIA!!!

I read that there is a wishing well near the castle. If it was, I would have DD take picture making a wish, then another with her shirt on & entire family. Captioning it all with "Wishes do come true. Hoping all your wishes grow this Christmas season and throughout 2014."

Congratulations to you and your family! Happy wishes for a healthy pregnancy.

congratulations! you can get a photopass photographer to take your photo infront of the castle and you can pick a character you want to appear in your photograph, which they add in a cartoon picture of it, and so then you act out an interaction with the character which is cute.

I wished upon a star, during that part of Wishes, and it worked i was pregnant with my DD who is now going on her first trip. We are hoping to get pregnant again now :)

Congratulations :) have a great trip :)

Hoping to be pregnant when we go in April. I am considering taking a Family Photo with our boys in matching Mickey shirts holding up a onesie that matches their shirts with the saying "Future Mouseketeer" or something like that.

I'm 6 weeks pregnant. While we aren't going to Disney for Thanksgiving this year (we did last year); I plan to announce the new addition at Thanksgiving dinner by having my daughter wear a shirt that says I'm thankful that I'm going to be a Big Sister. They have various Thanksgiving related pregnancy reveal shirts on Etsy. I know you said you were going to get a shirt so just thought I would share that. I don't really have any ideas for pictures....maybe just a picture in front of the castle with the big sister shirt and/or a sign that says Baby insert last name here due _________________

Congratulations and a have a wonderful trip.

LOVE THIS :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Mickey ears for everyone, and a tiny set that says, "Baby" in front of mom's tummy:)

Photo of your daughter in front of the castle with her big sister shirt on that says...I went to Disney World and all I got was this t-shirt.

There is a wishing well in Germany at Epcot that you could do the wishing photo.

Family photo with Our Happiest Place on Earth will be a little more crowded next time and Have a Disney Onsie, they have some very cute ones now.

All great ideas!!! Thanks everyone :-)

I love love LOVE the wishing well idea. Maybe I can get my DD to pretend to make a wish in slow motion for the camera lol! I'll probably try all of these ideas throughout the week we're there and see which comes out best ;)

Thanks again!!

This!!!!!! How adorable

We took a picture of DD in her I'm the big sister shirt with her mickey ears on holding a pink balloon with the castle in the background.

Here's one I did recently. Wish I could have done it at Disney. Getting the castle in the background would have been magical. The chalk board was easy to carry around and you could write anything on it. Maybe something in front of the wishing well like others have said and some kind of message on it

Here's an idea for the fountain. Maybe have her arm moving forward?

Wow I love the wishing well! Absolutely beautiful! Maybe I'll do that one but get her mickey ears with "big sister" embroidered on the back? And another pick in front of the castle with the chalk board! Thank u so much for sharing!

And congrats to all those on this thread who are also expecting! It looks like there's a baby boom goin on ;)

Or to add on to your ears thing. I doubt you'll know what the new baby will be by the time you got there, but maybe buying a second pair of ears and putting baby (last name; or something like that) on it and on the fountain next to her. Do the selective coloring, (like the second picture) and just coloring the hats or something like that.

In AK there is a magic shot available where baby Simba appears in your arms, we have had them done many times by the photopass photographers, you could have your daughter holding the "baby" and make an announcement out of it , not sure of the wording for the card though, I am not creative that way.
