Pregnancy announcement ideas in WDW

Congratulations!!! Tons of pixie dust to you!

And some unsolicited advice... I went to WDW while 26 weeks along and ended up in L&D due to heatstroke (early May - temps in the mid 90s) so please make sure you take it easy and drink LOTS of water to stay hydrated!!!

Sorry for being a busybody... Congrats again!

I will only be 8 weeks when we travel so I won't have any extra weight to carry along either. I will definitely keep the water flowing though and I am sure many many bathroom stops.

I just wanted to say congrats mama! I popped in on your old thread when you posted it, so I am so happy for you to see this one :)

Thank you! I certainly never expected to get pregnant again so quickly. It's just crazy to know a trip that was planned entirely to cheer us up after our loss now gets to be a celebration.

Congratulations! :goodvibes

This one might be difficult, because I hear it's reasonably rare, but if you could get the magic shot at AK with you holding Simba, your husband could hold up a sign saying something like "Practicing for the arrival of Baby ________"

Edit: This magic shot can be done by some Photopass photographers at AK, near the Tree of Life and looks like this:

We have had this photo done before but we don't plan to make a stop at AK this trip. We only have two days in the park and planned to spend them at Epcot and MK with maybe a jaunt over to HS just to get the Cinderella popcorn bucket for a friend.

Also did you tell your husband or are you going to surprise him? I was hoping to be pregnant and surprise mine during our last trip but we ended up pregnant a month later ;)

I already told my husband. I actually took a test last week and it was negative but he convinced me to take another one this week and pixiedust:

sorry for your loss and congrats on the news! we also experienced a loss in december and recently found our we're expecting again too. our next disney trip is at the end of may so i'm interested in these ideas too :)

Hope you have a happy and healthy 9 months :)

I am sorry to hear you lost a little one too but that is amazing you are also expecting again!!! :yay:. I am estimated to be at 5 weeks now and will be 8 weeks almost 9 weeks when we travel. We will probably announce in May. Wishing us both and happy and HEALTHY 9 months!!!

I think a picture in front of the castle with the baby ear hat held over your stomach would be really cute. Caption could be "New Mouseketeer appearing in _______." (fill with the month you're due). Or "We will be welcoming our little Mouseketeer in ____________."
Any of the calmer rides that have a photo in them, you could hold up a sign announcing a new baby, or a ear hat or 2015 onsie. The only calmer ride that has a photo that I can think of is Buzz Lightyear's Astrobasters (Splash Mountain would make an awesome picture, but going on some of the bigger rides in early pregnancy is between you and your doctor). On Dumbo, the CM will frequently take a picture if you ask them to. That would make a cute picture with a onsie. :)

sounds like we're both due in November! congrats again! I will be further along when we go at the end of may so we may have more pool time and less park time. I hope you'll share what you end up doing to announce :) we don't plan to announce until sometime in June.

I know that this is kind of an old thread, but I'm totally stealing some of these ideas! I'm due in November too and we are planning a trip to Orlando for a babymoon in September! I think we might get one day at Epcot for Food and (not) Wine Festival.

Congrats to both of you!

How about having your husband do Splash Mountain and hold up a sign for the photo that says "She (Your name) can't ride. She's pregnant?

That is so amazing, congratulations to you!!

What about 3 sets of Mickey ears--one with "mom", "dad" and "baby" or "?" Maybe there's a way to incorporate a character meet into it...

I had a miscarriage at the end of January and DH and I actually booked our Disney trip the night before the dr's appt where we would find out if everything was ok or not. We didn't have great news on the previous appt but there was still a chance things could have been ok. So we booked not knowing what the situation would be, and it has been such a blessing because it's really taken our minds off of our grief and helped us have something good to look forward to.

My friend did something similar to this. They already had a toddler daughter, but they got the mickey ears and embroidered "mom", "dad", and "big sis", stood in front of the castle w/ their backs facing the camera so we could read the ears. Thought that was really cute.
