Hiya

At present we have the preferred annual passes, but was wondering if its worth upgrading them at renewal for the premium pass.

I was wondering because we will be going to universal on three different occasions in the next year, including one time at halloween.

So is it worth the price difference

Thanx Anna

It's my understanding that the Premier Passes do not renew like the PAP. You would basically have to purchase another pass for $289/each instead of the regular renewal rate of $99/each. Personally, I won't spend the extra money for HHN tix or unlimited EP after 4pm..although those would be the only reasons for me to upgrade. I think you'd be better off staying with what you've got.

Its actually called Premier not premium. In my view if you have to ask I doubt its worth it for you. There is no discount on the renewal of the Premier pass its the full $280 every year. Currently your Preffered has a renewal rate of $99. The main benefits over the Preffered are the 8 bottles of water, free HHN ticket, valet parking, and unlimited express pass after 4PM. I don't consider these benefits worth the extra $180 a year because I only make 1 or 2 trips a year.

As locals who love to go to the parks on the spur of the moment, the Premier Pass is well worth the price to us even with no discount on renewal. I can't even imagine how much savings we have racked up in valet parking alone! We go to Citywalk for an early dinner, then ride till we're exhausted with the after-4 Express. I love the free HHN tickets too...we're combining those with a VIP tour this year. The only way you'll get my Premier Pass away from me is to pry it from my cold, dead hands.

So both passes include an express pass, but you can only do one particular ride once per day (for each ride)? Except with the Premier which is "after 4pm" unlimited fast pass? Is this correct?

No...The Premier Pass is the only one that has anything to do with EP...the Preferred and the Power Passes do not have an EP built into the pass. With the EP Plus that you purchase, you only get once per ride.

...except after 4pm where it turns into unlimited EP???? Thanks.

And with Premier, you DON'T get one per ride before four...the ONLY EP benefit is the unlimited after 4.

You can't upgrade the 2 year pass (B1G1F) to a Premier Pass for 2 years though-correct? It would become a 1 year pass again?

I believe that's correct...you would actually lose the 2nd year of the Preferred in leu of the Premier Pass.

That's what they did to us, although around that time I thought I saw postings from a few people who got a better deal. But we definitely had to give up our second year. Still regret it a bit...except when I waltz past the 75 min. Hulk line or the 90 min. Mummy line on any given Fri. or Sat. evening! :thumbsup2
