Preferred site hook-ups

Do the preferred sites have any kind of telephone hook-ups? My parents are going to be at FW and we will be over at the Lodge. They have a cell phone, but the rates out of our home area are high..........

Do you have walkie talkies? Some have pretty good range and FW and WL are not that far appart.

There is a house phone at each comfort station. It would be difficult for you to reach your parents, but they can reach you quite easily at Wilderness Lodge from the house phone.

I kind of thought there were no phones. Has anyone tried to use walkie talkies from the lodge to the campground? If so what kind were they? We had the Disney ones last year and we were not impressed with them. We had a cheaper pair that worked much better. Maybe it was just our Disney pair, but we had a lot of trouble, but right now I do not remeber exactly what. I just remember putting them away and using the pair my son has.

It would be great if we could walkie talkie over to them!
