preferred rooms

hi, we have always stayed at POFQ, but next year we are staying at the Caribbean, so i think we will be in for a bit of a shock size wise
we are thinking of paying the extra and get preferred rooms, (2) any advide on this please, and anything else you think we should know about the resort.
many many thanks in advance for any info you can offer.

does anyone know the cost of a taxi to universal, and are there taxi that wait at the hotel in the car park like they do at POFQ or do we need to order one?

We've got CBR booked for August. I've heard mixed things about the size, like, yes it's big but some say it's enormous and unmanageable and some say the size isn't really an issue and is often exaggerated. We've got a preferred room booked for our trip but we're there for 14 nights in the height of summer (I'm used to walking everywhere for everything - other half isn't so much). However it was only booked because it was offered as a free upgrade and we only paid the price of a standard room.

Others who've stayed there before have mentioned requesting certain islands which are a little closer to the main hub area if you don't want to pay for a preferred room.

No idea about the cost of a taxi... I wasn't going to bother with Universal until someone told me about Uber.
