Preferred room at CBR

Does anyone know or have a link as to which buildings offer the "preferred" rooms at CBR? I am considering a stay there in October, just me and my two dd's so the extra $ for a preferred location would be worth it to me.

DH and I stayed in Trinidad North and it was perfect! It will definitely be worth the money!

Preferred buildings at CBR in 2004

In Martinique it will be buildings 24, 25, 26. In Trinidad North it will be 31,32,33.

The additional charge will be $10 per night.

Thanks, that's the information I was hoping for.

Actually its $15.00 per night more than a standard room but for me totally worth it. I was quoted $144 for a standard room and $159 preferred so I booked the preferred. For me when traveling alone with my two young dd's its worth it to be close to the main building, restaurants and bus stop. The value resorts do charge $10 per night more for the preferred rooms.

Does the CBR still offer the minibar and coffee maker?

I will correct the extra charge. That is what I was told at the front desk when I asked in Oct.

There is no mini bar in the room but coffee makers, iron and ironing board are in the rooms now.

Thanks - just stumbled upon your FAQ safetymom - wonderful. Just getting through the lattter few pages and already found some wonderful information. (reading backward for most up-to-date information!).

Can you tell me if any of the preferred buildings are totally non-smoking? I am guaranteed a non-smoking rooms due to my two dd's asthma and would prefer if the building was non-smoking.

We just encountered an awful situation in another resort where we were in a non-smoking room on a non-smoking floor and guess what... yes the room had been smoked in recently. My oldest dd started to cough and wheeze immediately. Thank goodness the bellman was still with us and totally understood what happend. He quickly turned us around, got my dd' some fresh air on an open balcony and took us back to the front desk. The staff was awesome and upgraded us to a wonderful smoke free room with a balcony! That said, I don't expect it from every resort and would rather it not have happened in the first place.

So - if you can point me to a preferred non-smoking building that would be awesome. If there is no such preferred building it may be worth it for us to stay in a standard room if it means non-smoking in the building. We usually stay in the CR North wing for this reason but its way out of my budget this trip.

Sorry so long and thanks again for the help. If this information is on your faq's I will probably stumble upon it myself sooner or later!!

I am not sure about the totally non smoking building. I would suggest you call the resort and ask them.

I can't stand smoke either and never had a problem but to be sure I would call and then have CRO note in your reservation the totally non smoking location.

Hi, I have been going to cbr for 10 yrs, and many other dis resorts. Different feelings at different areas in CBR,,,,,,,ask for a corner room, it will feel bigger, the second floor is more private, CBR is laid out so you can be quite a distance from the main pool. I suggest Aruba, our favorite. Room 5256. fantastic view across lake, look down at the quiet pool and hop over the bridge to the food court, main pool, game room and crowds. Boys like the game room, but its nice to break it up. It took us years to locate building 52, we love it. What you want to do is call the resort directly, about a week prior to going, (disney dosn't tell you this) and ask about a room pref., explain your request directly to the resort. It is the resort itself that releases the rooms. They will try to accomadate you.....and yes, it is worth the extra money. Good luck. twimme
