We have reservations at the end of November for a preferred site. We have just gotten a Yorkie and I would want to bring her. Can I get on a preferred site with her or do I need to call and change my reservations. I am asking because when we were there in December and people on the 100 loop had pets. I have been to the Fort many times and it was the first time I have seen pets on that loop. Thanks, Kim

Hi,

If you already have a preferred campsite reservation for the Fort for November just call and make sure they note that you will be bringing a pet. Their is an additional charge to bring your new yorkie, but I think it's only like $5 a day. The campground does offer preferred pet sites now, though I couldn't tell you specifically which ones. I am sure someone here has that info though. I certainly look forward to having this all figured out though for myself when I go back to FW in a few weeks with my two four legged kids. I maybe going back to the Full hock-up in the 1900 area where I use to camp. It's a wait and see thing for me.:)

300, 700, 800 preferred pet

500 preferred pet overflow

900, 1600, 1700, 1800, 1900 full hook-up pet

Whatever happened to the rumor that all the loops were going to become pet friendly? Has this been shot down?

This appears to have been just that, a rumor. You have to be careful who you listen to, as only the purple bus drivers really have the4 up to date skinny.

Hey tim5055,

I took a chance and clicked on your "Natasha's website" at the bottom of your post and wow very cool. It looks like you have some great camping information on there as well as some great pictures of Natasha. I'll have to check it out when I have more time, but I just wanted to mention it, so maybe others will check it out too. :)
