Preferred parking as annual pass holder

I am a platinum plus annual pass holder and want to understand why Disney does not give it's most expensive AP holders the same perk like universal. As a premium annual pass holder also at universal we get preferred parking for free. I think Disney came up with the AP line at the park entrance to compete with universal and at HS the other day the line was gone.

I thought Disney gave AP's a reduce rate on premier parking if you have an AP that includes parking. Maybe I'm wrong but I thought that was apart of the announcement.

You already get free parking so why would the platinum mean free preferred? Also I don't think Universal has an AP only line so how is that competing? I think they are just trying to do things to make AP holders feel special that don't lose them revenue.

While I respect Universal and enjoy it. Universal is different from Disney in many many ways... Disney also commands more for a park ticket with 5 days on it than a regular annual pass at universal as you go up higher the price of a universal annual pass comes no where close to what a Disney annual pass costs.. and Disney AP's sell very well... The answer to your question is simple... Disney does not have to give a lot of perks to sell the annual passes.... again not taking anything away form universal but you are trying to compare to very different places.. while both theme parks they are not the same.. I could ask the question why my six flags gold annual pass costs so little and give me so much more that either Disney or universal by far... I can visit any six flags in any state with free parking and discounts on food and merchandise.

Heck... why not just fly you in on a helicopter?

That is not my point. My point is if universal gives it's premier passholder free preferred parking why doesn't Disney as a perk of being an AP holder. They also recently announced they are closing Disney quest so that is reducing the value of a platinum annual pass.

Disney isn't Universal. That's why.

If you're not happy about it, call them, email them, write them a letter. Demand answers from people that can give them to you.

If they fail to answer your questions to your liking, do like others are around the country and speak with your wallet. I'm sure Disney won't miss you as a Platinum Plus AP holder, but your stance against their lack of a Universal offering will be noted in a small sticky note that gets tossed in the shredder.

The original post sounds very entitled. It's a lot of money being spent, yes, but again, Disney isn't Universal.

What perk are they replacing Disney quest with when it closes in July....One free Mickey bar

None because they don't have to. I have a platinum pass and my fiance has a platinum plus because he likes going to the water parks more than me. A clause of the passes is Disney can change the offerings at any time. If you really go to Disney Springs that much and are mad that it is going away have you written Disney to voice that displeasure and ask how they are going to make it right?

Not being a Disney apologist but comparing how they handle APs to Universal and then asking what you are getting because a building almost no one visits is going to way isn't going to garner much sympathy.
